OT: Road To Perdition might make a good game I think. And Fallout 3 would either make a good movie or TV series, with the DLC as either sequels or spin-offs.

I would like a game like Little Shop of Horrors where you have to sneak around, kill people "accidentally",and then chop up their corspes and feed them to a giant plant.
But thats just me...

They're books of course, but everything about the Eragon/Inheritence series screams with every sentence that Christopher Paolini is a gamer and not a writer. The books would actually have made for a pretty decent video games, assuming the dialogue were all skippable or written by someone else, and the basic ideas were implemented well.
They did make a movie, but in a catastrophic failure of film-making it failed the seemingly simple task of surpassing the source material, and I'm certain that "The movie; the game" is terrible, so they don't count.

Oni would make a great movie.
Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six could probably make a decent movie too.
As for movies to games, thats not as good a transition, because movies often have expotenially less content to work with. See Yathzee's Ghostbusters review for what I mean.

The only movie that could be called decent or good and was based on a game is Advent Children. And the only games that are based on a movie and didn't instantly suck within the first five minutes belong to the Star Wars genre. And even there it's 50/50 if the game will be any good. And most of those games that are good aren't strictly based on any individual movie: games like TIE-fighter, X-Wing Alliance and Jedi Knight.
Those are pretty much the exceptions that concur the rule. "Games make poor movies, movies make poor games."

A full length movie by Valve in the "Meet the Blank" style, specifically the Spy.

Game -> Movie = Condemned: Criminal Origins/Bloodshot. If they could create a dark environment with decent characterization and good scares, this could probably work.
Game -> Movie = Mass Effect. People have already mentioned this above.
Game -> Movie = Assassins Creed. If you don't count AC Lineage as an actual film, then Assassins Creed could be made into a great film. Of course, the action would have to be good, and characterization would be key.

I personally think that Grand Theft Auto can make the best movie. It is just a crime drama so you really can't mess up canon or do anything stupid like giving Link a voice.
