How to Train Your Dragon:

NO OTHER PEOPLE RIDING DRAGONS. You remember how long it took Hiccup to get Toothless to trust him, and we're supposed to buy these other dragons just accepting the people who've been trying to kill them for years. Right...

I am Legend, preferred the deleted ending where Will Smith lives, but then again i prefer a nice ending.

I think in a lot of gritty films it would be nice if they suddenly killed an important or well loved character, just for the shock effect :)

Oh and just the whole video or 'How the Lords of the Rings SHOULD have ended' XD

Inception as two other people have pointed out. It's too ambiguous at the end, and I spent my first day today opening hyperlinks to TvTropes so I'm unstable. Actually even while I'm typing, I feel like as if Inception would be better off without an ending. Leave it up to ourselves to declare if the movie was a dream or not.

I personally think that Law Abiding Citizen should've ended differently. I think Clyde should've got off scot-free. The ending just seemed rushed and completely far-fetched (The meticulous years of planning he put into each and every one of his acts, then does something completely obvious and stupid at the end?) It would've made the film so much better. Still my favourite film ever though.

And The Bridge To Terabithia (Even though it was originally a book) for obvious reasons. The end of that film just destroys whatever childhood you have left.
Agreed on one count, disagree on the other. Law Abiding Citizen was not a very good movie for me, and eveything that was convoluted about it might have been okay if perhaps the movie had that ending.

Bridge to Terabithia however, is based off a children's book. It ends the exact same way. I remember my Ex-girlfriend telling me she didn't know what it was (she saw it on cable) and it tore her up at the end, but I had read it in Grade School, I knew it was going to happen.

I didn't know if you knew that.

I really didn't want for Little Blackie to die in True Grit.

That scene just tore my heart open.
Although it's not the ending to the movie, I just couldn't stand that scene.
Spoiler warning dammit

I would have changed the ending of Inception
Why wouldnt they just have let the spinning top fall, it just screams "SEQUEEEEEL"

I am Legend -
Will Smith should have died by suicide without any chance that humanity could fight against the disease, leaving it a dark and bleak ending.

Off the top of my head? The Losers. I've never read whatever story/graphic novel/adult imagination it came from, but I thought the movie's twist and ending were so cliche.

What is it with a hero going gaga over some woman who doesn't really want him in the first place, and having his (seemingly) best friend turn on him? I rolled my eyes at this scenario because as soon as that woman showed up, I just knew she was there to kill him because he killed her father. If I had written this film, that racy little cocktease would've been working with the main baddie, but still gotten away so there'd be room for a sequel. And the main character's best friend would have been there to console him for love lost, right after they stood back-to-back filling all the rest of the criminals with different doses of lead. Y'know, instead of dying like a complete loser in a lame attempt to escape when escape was obviously not possible.

There are others but that's just the most recent one I can think of that disappointed me.

The Last Broadcast

The movie should't have show us who the killer was,the movie should have ended that the last piece of film couldn't be restored so the murders would seen misterious

I never really liked the end of Die Hard 3
it felt like the movie had already ended and simon gruber had won after he escaped with all the gold bullion
then it felt like they just hurredly tacked on a piece at the end where the chopper he's in get's blown to shit and everybody wins
having said that, it's still the best of the quadrilogy, just the sudden zig-zag of pace at the end makes it feel rushed
It's a cool ending but it doesn't feel like Mclaine and also why does he still uses the same name Simon Gruber wouldn't he change it after stealing like a billion dollars?

here' the alternative (and far better) ending to die hard 3

I did know that, hence why I put "(Even though it was originally a book)" in my first post =) I read the book after watching the film and loved it. It's still the only film that has made me cry. And the way it ends is just too sad to bear. I'd have loved it to turn out differently. I remember reading a fan-written alternate ending to the story which was brilliant: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3655216/1/A_Life_Rescued (Warning before reading: It is VERY VERY long, but so worth it.)

The spinning top falls. It?s called closure!
This was gonna be my choice, i was kinda upset by this ending.
My freind always tells me that then ending is supposed to open for debate because the screen cuts to end before the spinning top even has a chance to topple, its wobbles after all

Read the book, the book if farrrrr better. If the film had stuck to the book it would have be awsome.

The Amber Spyglass. I cried like a ***** at the end and almost prayed that there was an alternate ending but I know that it was the best ending, even if it wasn't the one I wanted

Artficial Inteligence

It should've ended with David falling into the ocean and dying. None of this advanced machine future bullcrap. And the whole happy ending with his clone mom... Blegh!
