If you want good news, their intel seemed to be incorrect, which was why they had a low victim count. It could be they wanted to push this attack before Vienna went into lockdown due to Covid19.

So it appears. I'm guessing the police had lots of reports come in of shootings at different locations and assumed multiple attackers, and then it turned out they were multiple events committed by the same gunman(/men) or perhaps even the same events, but reported sufficiently differently that they appeared to be different events.

ISIS will wither away. It's much more attractive for a zealous wannabe warrior to imagine he's signing up to the construction of a glorious, Muslim state that will reign victorious than it is to join a bunch of venal, murderous thugs who got crushed by their enemies and hide in hovels.
