Only if I'm playing with friends who've never played before...but after a few games I'll go all out.

Generally though I'm not good enough normally to go easy on strangers.

I've had people report me for being too aggressive, which I find funny because I play extremely laid back. I don't generally play to win, just to get to the next game. Usually it's just to appease my MP-heavy friends who would rather shoot at people for hours on end then go through a campaign. Different strokes, of course.

Though I have noticed I tend to dominate the scoreboard in ME3. Hard to say for sure.

I once played someone on Soul Calibur 5 that had literally never played it before. I picked the worst character, and made the first round look close but threw it. I then proceeded to get legitimately beaten in the rest of the match no matter how hard I actually tried.

Damn you, Dampierre.

Depends, if they are acting decently (aka not raging in chat ) then I will ease up. If they are acting like arseholes then I will keep killing them because its funny.

Sometimes. If it's a team effort type of thing and I see that I'm hogging all the kills, I'll lighten up.
Otherwise, I go all out.

Captcha: kill time
It's telling me to go on a kill spree. Next time, captcha.

Depends on the game and the person I guess. I actually stopped destroying a person in a shooter once, invited them to chat and taught them how to play. They then gave me a run for my money. The competition made it more fun. I've also been known to destroy a person in a fighting game without giving them time to breathe. In that instance the fun was had seeing how much better I could be than them in an instance, if I could get a perfect and how good of a combo I could get out.

I always put on my trypants.

But I often try some unconventional (or...suicidal) tactics. I'm known for my reckless abandon the TF2 server where I'm a regular. I get killed a lot (though I still kill a good bit more than I get killed) but I also engage in suicidal tactics for the sake of the objective a lot. I also often play as a Shock Trooper of sorts. I'll charge into or behind large groups of enemies to try to distract them or take down important targets (Medics, Spies). It's a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that is very satisfying when it works. I like constant risk and confrontation when I play the game (which is why I never play as the Sniper).

No reason to hold back here since I suck balls at most multiplayer. Only game I really got any good at was Tremulous way back when there was a community worth playing it with. On the rare occasion I do end up in some online multiplayer, I'd rather goof around a little and try to have fun rather than focus on winning.

I won't 'go easy', I handicap myself in a fun way to make things interesting. Like going for all melee kills. Or using a pistol or SMG when it's not ideal. Or just use a gun I'm not familiar/good with. Or stalking the enemy. It's gotta be interesting. But I'm not going to intentionally have worse reflexes or give up a shot when I can take it. That's no fun.

I don't play online multiplayer often enough for that to be a thing. Most often I'm the noob thats being destroyed repeatedly. If I ever do get into a position where I'm kicking ass though I don't pull any punches.

If I'm playing something I'm really good at with friends splitscreen and I'm much better than them, I do hold back. It's not all that fun to just totally massacre them because then there's no challenge and they hate me for it.

It all depends on the game and such. I generally do not, I may do things I wouldn't do normally though. I'll fuck around and use bullshit strategies I normally never would. In general though, I don't get super competitive in any multiplayer, so it isn't a big departure for me. Even in games where I am quite good, I really don't care too much about winning or losing.

I used to toy with people on Mortal Kombat, I'm not great at the game but its easy to tell when you're playing a 4 year old.

Me: Holding block
Smoke: Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb, Smoke bomb,

Time out. Cage wins :)

Nah, that's where your reward for getting good comes in - you get to rack up the kills against weaker opponents and increase your K/D. However, if you've engineered it to play against noobs, you're being an asshole.

No. but if i notice that the enemy i sobviuosly crippled i get cocky and overagressive, do stupid mistakes, they won. So in a sense, Yes. Wait, how did that turn out.

Oh and yeah those "omg your a hacker" comments are really funny. This only proves that im way better than the next guy.

I don`t have to hold back because i`m not that good.
I can clearly say that high level players who team up with headsets against a random team are a bit frustrating. Especially if they already have a complete team and the random guys are missing one or two players. If this happens i usually play a few rounds and try to stay alive aslong as i can. If i get killed to often to fast there`s nothing to learn and i leave.

These days? Haha huh.. Good one.

Back then, in that other time and probably dimension when and where I was fairly good at HL2, yes. Well, I would not hold back, but sort of detour from my proven tactics or (literally) from my paths through the maps. When playing with friends, though, and especially that one guy who has the spatial awareness and perception of a slice of toast... ah, memories.

I don't hold back. If the opposite team loses basically all their players, then i try to give them some assassinations, headshots or basically just some points because they're hanging in there and not quitting out.

for the most part, i play halo and mass effect, and ME3 isn't competitive MP, so Halo is basically all I play AGAINST other people.

In online multiplayer , do you hold back when playing against people less skilled than you? Or do you go all out all the time?
I only play Mass Effect multiplayer, so I usually go all out all the time. I only screw around with my really good builds and when I'm with friends.

Well, i don't do things like push them back into their spawn area or camp a place I know they'll have to go through, though to be fair, I'm underskilled compared to the opposition far more than I'm overskilled.

I just beleive in a sense of fair play, and the idea everyone should be enjoying the game, whether they win or lose.
