Project Nomads.

That's right, you've never even heard of Project Nomads, have you? When I say that no one is playing, I'm confident that I am being literal. Which is a shame, the game was quite fun. Think a quasi RTS where you pilot the flying lighthouses from that Gorrilaz music video, Feel Good Inc.

I think everyone just abandoned Team Fortress 2 - can't find a single sole online...
You gotta be trollin.

I bought Bioshock 2 partially for the multiplayer, but found there was nobody playing. Big disappointment, hopefully will be more playing Bioshock Infinite.

Edit: I play on PC, and if anybody has any tips on how to get a game im all ears.

Well atm, almost no one is playing Crysis 2 multiplayer. Or should I say almost no one of the 1000+ people who preodered it CAN play it.

I remember playing Turok (360 version) one day after it was released. I met the same player 5 times in the space of an hour. There was no-one else playing that game. Needless to say it was returned as soon as I finished the campaign.
Try living in Australia buddy and see all the SEA servers populations.

Same guys every game and you have to organise them.

And our peak-time is the US's off-peak time so don't expect English speakers in games, you'd be lucky to get 100 people, IN ANY GAME, on at any time. Then we're expected to play at 12pm when we should be working if we want to find a game.

Halo Wars for the 360 never really had a large online player base after all of the people who bought it out of blind Halo fandom found out that it was an RTS. On a good day it had maybe 15,000 players online, but that was about a month after launch. It got a lot less than that, dipping to about 5,000 before I gave up on it. I got tired of waiting 15 minutes to find a match.

I think Castle Crashers is pretty much dead by now. Even when I first played it, I had a hard time finding people. Mostly due to the game's bad connection and it's ridiculous inability to find other players.

And now thanks to the lv. 256 glitch, it's very hard to find people who haven't used it. It's not very fun playing a game when one or more of the players is damn near invincible. Takes away the challenge of the game.

It's a real shame, Castle Crashers was a very fun game.

Quake IV (Xbox 360) is effectively dead.
Wow I was actually ninja'd out of Quake IV. I didn't think anyone would even remember that game existed. I remember searching for a multiplayer game... it must have been years ago... and not finding a single soul.

The recent AVP for the 360.

Most of the problem comes form the games poor connection issues and buggy matches, thus making most of its community quit out of frustration. Which sucks because its actually quite fun.
Had fun as the predator while it lasted

Command & Conquer: Renegade ... multiplayer in that game was awesome when it still had a pretty active playerbase
Oh man, it totally was. I was going to post this as well. We played the ever loving shit out of it at a LAN shop I used to work at. It was so awesome.

I just re-downloaded Monday Night Combat, and got a free expansion pack, and it seems like no one is online anymore. I go to play crossfire, no one is there. I try out the newest Blitz map, no one is there, still waiting.

So do you know any games that no one seems to be playing online?

EDIT: Good news, looks like the people are back in MNC
No one really plays Blitz, but the game's always had tons of people playing since it came out in August. A large group of people I know still play every day.

Multiplayer on obscure-ish games isn't always abandoned, though. There's still players on 360 TF2, a game that came out in 2007. There's still players on Brutal Legend, a game that came out in 2009 that a lot of people didn't even realize had multiplayer. From what I've seen, the question of whether the multiplayer on a game that isn't CoD will last basically depends on whether that multiplayer is actually unique and fun enough to sustain a player base. Which in those examples, it is. I'd guess that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's multiplayer will be the same, as that fits the bill too.
