I look at the photos of the offenders and what I see is a bunch of chav's...
Chav's are becoming a serious problem in today's Britain due to the ridiculousness of the benefit system allowing them to just live off benefits and have free housing if they pop out a few children.
It's a known thing thing that chav's are intolerant of anything not chav, I regularly see them hanging around on street corners and in parks drinking their cheap cider and insulting, attacking or mugging everyone who passes that isn't like them...
I say it's about time the "justice" system stopped protecting the "human rights" of criminals and started literally throwing the book at them, bring back capital punishment or make use of these chav's stabby instincts by sending them into war zones.

I see that you mistook the situation. In which case your comment has a different meaning. Why not use the terrorist legislation on these terrorists? These people that stalk the parks, that will stab or shoot you on the bus or in the pub because randomly or because you stand up to their appauling behaviour? These people terrorise us daily and walk around knowing there's nothing we can do about it. Not only becuase they don't get punished but becuase if you win a fight against them you'll be the one locked up.

This story angers me so much because I am a goth and I get this shit all the time. Obviously not this badly but just walking around where I used to live with mates was a nightmare, constant shouting by the local chavs who are just fucking ignorant.

I think both are needed. Yes, you should try to prevent crimes from happening. However, if a crime's committed, you should react.

I am appalled to learn this. I myself have suffered a similar attack but was lucky enough to have survived. Five to six blows to my head while I lay unconscious, defenceless from three assailants. Those who tried to kill me for no reason have never been caught and due too me not seeking psychological help have become more than just a little paranoid. Actually this sort of thing happens so often, in my city anyway, that I wonder if the police even care anymore, I got that impression when the police took my statement. I feel very angry now that they are getting their sentences reduced, within time they will return to the world only to cause even more trouble.
The reduction of their sentence is a joke and shows the decline that I have been seeing for a long time. I am quickly loosing what little faith I have left in my government, legal system and just about everything else, not that I had much to begin with. What happened to our system? Were did it go wrong and when?
As for military service, that will do no god. I have seen reports of several instances were these people have killed fellow trainees for the same reasons as they would have on the streets and I am against giving those sorts of people fire arms.

I hate the fact that people are given only ten or twenty years for murder. If you take a life, by all logic we should be able to strip you of whatever life you have left. This is the kind of situation where I wouldn't give a damn if an inmate had the mind to shank them in the neck - at least then the Sophie and her family could get the justice they deserve.
