EDIT: I just noticed this was about music exclusively in which case, yes it does effect me. I go to an assortment of independent and amateur critics to keep up with the new stuff I may not have heard about otherwise. Pitchfork too, but only if I'm really high and dry.

Some of these comments are saying that music is the most subjective of all the art forms. While I agree that it's one of the more subjective I really don't agree with this "there is no objectivity in it" angle. It makes me sad. If you're going to tell me that you can't objectively see the lack of merit in something like Phil Collins or Brokencyde then I suggest you may have something lodged in your skull.
I did say not all music is eaquel....

whats wring with phill colins? I think is best song is "in the air tonight" and most of his other stuff is fluffy pop...but FUN fluffy pop (ssussudio or however its spelt, springs to mind)

again youre going back to the "if you dont agree with me then your a retard" thing everyone seems to do when it comes ot music

Well, I know that music reviews exist... And that is about it. I really don't pay attention to them beyond watching the occasional Todd in the Shadows video. They never really effect me.

Wow. Someone who likes Phil Collins. I had heard the legends but I never thought it to be true.
You do realise alot of people like Genesis right?

Not really. George Starostin's reviews make fun reading, but in the end, I like what I like. A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell, Pink Floyd's last 2 albums, were mostly hated by critics, but I love 'em as much as all the rest.

Never heard any Brokencyde (from the Wiki description, I don't want to) but what's wrong with Phil Collins? I wouldn't consider myself a fan, but his music ain't bad. Unless you're referring to the guy himself, who is apparently a cheating asshole.
