Has anyone here got any favourite videogame tunes? Stuff that really adds to the experience =D
For me: Halo soundtrack, real nice and edgy

I do enjoy the halo soundtrack but for me the megaman series holds my title of favourite soundtrack. I mean damn i still sometimes find myself humming some of the tunes from MM1.

the brutal legend soundtrack^^, but usually the horror genre all have great soundtracks, sam and max, machinarium had one of the best.

oh and The Neverhood, so unbelievable awesome, it's just a shame that it only played in certain areas instead of all the time.

Anything by Nobuo Uematsu, the mans a gaming musical genius.
Also have to say the music from the Metal Gear series, Halo, hell even Little Big Planet had some catchy tunes in it

I like Space Station Silicon Valley's soundtrack. And the Megaman menu theme. The song from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon... but probably the entire Secret of Mana soundtrack is one of my all time favorites.

Assasins Creed 2 has awesome music.

this is right....some of the mission, i think its the chasing or the racing ones. the music is mega.

Yeah, Brutal Legend (and most any other game where you have some sort of heavy metal for bgm works) would be up there, but I would have to admit that the various background musics that play during the Xenosaga games are some of my favorite. They have this sort of haunting beauty to them, its just great stuff.

Along those lines, Dragon Age has one of the best opening songs ever. No lyrics, no guitar solos, just someone singing. And it is awesome.

Also Spyro and Ratchet & Clank both have brilliant music.

The best orchestral/maybe creepy music I remember was Parasite Eve.

My first CD purchase that was related to a video game would have to be the first Halo.

From CRISIS CORE I love Price Of Freedom which is the song that plays during the final battle.
Also Metal Gear Solid 3 debriefing I love it along with all the music from Metal Gear Solid.

MW2 has a pretty good soundtrack IMO.

Crash Twinsanity's was also good, if a bit immature. ^_^
