I've never heard any songs that've touched me in that kind of way. Are you talking about that goosebump-like sensation you get during certain parts of a song? I can't really describe it, but a shiver runs up to the back of your neck, you feel it. I can never tell what song might do it to me, but it doesn't even have to be something I like.

This one almost made my everything explode. I almost vibrated through the floor.

2:16 - 2:38 = (O.O)

Any kind of thrash metal. Just get's me going. Can't hold still while listening to that stuff, at the very least a vigorous headbob is required.

When I listen to Alcest I tend to get a bit misty eyed. It pulls things out of me that have lain dormant since my childhood.

I suppose there is quite a few examples of music that will have physical effects on me.

Superstition - Stevie Wonder: I dare anyone to try and walk straight/ sit still when this comes on
Any classic rock and roll-e.g Ray Charles : it just gets me moving every time even if its just a stealthy foot tap on the bus it never fails.

Bohemian Rhapsody, gives me goose pimples down my spine every time I hear it, especially the live performances.

Dunno why but it does.

Ambient music eg Solar Fields, Max Richter, Brian Eno, Aphex Twins and Goldmund pretty much removes all stress when I am listening to it.

Jazz and Prog Rock makes me think I can solve extremely hard maths equations or at least makes me go and pick up my bass and write stuff.

Drone music eg Sunn O))) and Earth I find extremly calming.

Atmospheric Black Metal eg Summoning, Drudkh, Agalloch, Negura Bunget, Evilfeast and Gris make feel exactly how the writer wants me to feel, imagining walking through Norwegian forests at midnight with fresh snow on the ground, the moonlight shining throught the branches with the outlines of mountains engulfing the horizon, probably the most tranquil feeling in the world, will have to go to Norway and go hiking one time and just listen to Burzum and Coldworld for hours.

Alcest and Les Discrets is just great for depressing nights (+1 if there is a thunderstorm), There is just a certain feeling you get from that style of Post-rock/Black Metal/Shoegaze.

Grindcore is good for getting the Adrenaline up.

The track Space Lion from the Cowboy Bebop OST (Jupiter Jazz outro) is probably the most depressing but at the same time uplifting song I have ever heard, so epic.

Death, megadeth, anthrax, deicide, morbid angel, danzig, and tons of other thrash/death metal bands get me on my feet and give me the courage to exist everyday.

Most recently...
Every Time I Die:
The sheer hilarity and anguish in the both the lyrics and in Keith's vocals give me goosebumps. Couple that with the sick banjo intro and the constant raising and lowering of the tempo throughout make this my favourite song of 2012.

Every time I hear it, I almost feel the frustration, excitement and fear in the lyrics. This song is a masterpiece that makes me scream along with it, louder every time.

So mournful and the lyrics seem to have some sort of feeling in them....especially if you know the context in which it's sung...

Curse you for reminding me this :)

From game soundtracks, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey's soundtrack is just pure emotional manipulation
And I'm ok with that ;)

Goosebumps. Every time.

And this:

<youtube=6zkMwEDLBks>

It's barely audible without headphones, but after the guitar solo, the bassline and this sort of... humming sets in. With headphones, it produces an effect so breathtaking it has been known to make me lose all trains of thought and forget what I'm doing.

No songs touch my emotions deeply but music does have a strong effect on me! I have an anxiety disorder that causes the Fear or hatred of music Music can make me feel anxious nauseous and even give me headaches.

Every song and type of music is a source of discomfort for me the condition is called melophobia and is caused by hyperacusis I experienced the initial pain while attending a George Thorogood Concert when I was Very small.

Basically i dont like music

This song depresses me to no end, but at the same time it's beautiful, I listen to a lot of of music that invokes such an emotion but none do it quite as strongly as this song. I suppose I associate the song with heartbreak, something like that.

Oh god. I hadn't heard of them before but was forced to listen to them this week, thank god the CD was broken and it stopped before I was too damaged.

The 2 that come to mind are the guitar solo to Time by Pink Floyd, and this:

Especially at 1:47. That moment just brings to me the image of that scene in Inception where Cobb's in the first dream and water starts crashing around him. I'm not sure why, but its just that epic.
