I'm constently looking for new music and asking around my friends for new music artists or songs I've never listened to before. But with all of the new crap coming out, it's hard to find any good music. So, I thought I'd leave it up to you guys. If you have any good suggestions, please comment. My preferred genres are between soft rock and some screamo, but I'll listen to anything as long as it's not any of this boy-band/disney-stars/pop-queens/terminal-suck that is popular (this means no Bieber, Jonas Brothers, Gaga, or Nickleback as huge complaints).

Try Shinedown if you haven't already.

Edit: OK I tried to embed the youtube link and it failed.
If you can be bothered, try searching Youtube or whatever for 'Sound Of Madness' by Shinedown.
One of my favourite songs ever. Don't miss out.

Hazy: Pretty good. Not great, but enjoyable and rythmic.

animemetalhead: Both of them I LOVE!!!! Especially Bullet. More like reminders for me instead of recommendations.

Mr. Google: I already listen to Anberlin, Rise Against, and Jack's Mannequin, but they are all pretty good. Something Corperate are pretty sweet. Cartel sounds alot like Fall Out Boy (which is a good thing as long as they don't start sucking). After Midnight Project sounds kinda like 30 Seconds To Mars to the power of A Day To Remember vocals and lyrics (or is awesome). Motion City Soundtrack.........wow. Um....wow. Their.....wow. Better then good but not amazingly awesome.

Agent_Nahmen_Jayden: Sweet orchestral rock. Maybe as good as Apocalyptica. Maybe better.

AjimboB: Flogging Molly is one of my favorites. Rebels of the Sacred Heart and What's Left of the Flag!!!

Fall From Honor: Dropkick Murphys and Rush are two of my favorites. They were some that hooked me one music. Pain is awesome. Purely awesome. In Extremo is good vocals and instruments, but not understanding or speaking the language kinda takes away from that. Creeping Cadaver sounds like what the Joker would make for a sweet punk band. Korpiklaani reminds me of ZZ Top in a good way. Celldweller sounds like techno-punk-metal. Sweet. Joe Cocker and Chris de Burgh are pretty good also. Old rock sounding.

Thanks to everyone so far. Some pretty good new bands, some awesome new ones, and some reminders to listen to what I already like. Will be checking back regularly so if you think of anything else, please post.

Yeah cartel is what Fall out boy shoulda been as i see it. With a guy who can actually sing. After midnight project You hit the nail on the head. Something Corporate is the same singer as Jack's Mannequin if it means anything to you

My personal favourite loud punk/alternative rock (sounds kind of like what you're looking for.)

Billy Talent, who I love because of how varied their lyrics are about. And their style of sound is pretty unique, between their guitars and vocals.

Three Days Grace, awesome post-grunge kind of metal. Mostly depressing lyrics though

Sum 41, very punk-like rock. Their style kind of changes with their newest album, but it's still good

oops, too many Canadians

The Used? Loud and good

Rage Against the Machine, just awesome

Jack's Mannequin, sounds kind of like what you'd like

System of a Down?

I kind of dislike questions like these because you don't know exactly how much music someone does or doesn't know about. Hope these are good and new though.
And I know I fail, video embedding is not my forte.

Depending on where you are from, you might or might not know of Muse. I pretty much vouch for them whenever I get the chance. Based on what you said you like, I would give their first album, Showbiz, a listen too. If you like that, you'll probably like Origin of Symmetry and maybe Absolution as well. (Their second and third albums.)

Uno from Showbiz:

Citizen Erased from Origin of Symmitry (live version!):

Good luck with finding some music, man!

I love these two bands. Billy Talent III is one of my favorite albums.

I sort of feel obliged to post these guys when somebody asks for good music:
And since you mentioned some screaming, this is awesome. Certainly not new, but if you missed them when they were around, here they are:
