First off:
I really like the basic structure of the song, it's well put together etc.

Secondly: The solo at the end was really good (is there a bit of Floyd Rose-ing in there?)

Third: TO be honest: I didn't like the first distorted guitar you introduced. The structuring and set-up worked, but the sound didn't do anything for me.

The stuff from your loopstation was really nice, very relaxed, I liked that, though at some parts it seemed as if the volume was a bit off on some tracks, but that might have been intentional.
I can't really comment on ixminuseins, seeing as I am not a drum and bass afficionado, but I did listen to it and I did kinda like it.

Neither of them particularly good despite a generally positive reception from those who have listened to them so far. They are more just experiments to see what I could come up with than anything.

The dischordant-bassy one was spot on, very nicely done.

The dark / mysterious one was ok as well, but not quite as good as the other one, mostly because the drum track was too bright and didn't really fit in with the rest of the song.

This was interesting, usually I don't listen to a lot of Hip-Hop, but this was very well done. Keep it up.

All my stuff is currently demos made with a drum machine until I can get my bandmates to work on their bits.

Secondly: The song was really well structured and put together, but I didn't really like the sound. The distortion seemed to "cheap" and very much digital, whilst it seemed to lack any kind of real "punch", but that might be due to your recording situation. The song itself, as I said, was really good, if somewhat long.

Like it says, it's not finished but I'm kind of happy with it.

It's a bit reminiscent of some garage-punk bands, and if that's the sound you were going for you succeeded. If it's not, then I apologize profoundly.

Also, you could do with some more shrill stuff in between to spicen things up a little.

I listened to some of your tracks and I liked "free" best. Also, in my opinion, the drum-tracks could do with a little less volume in the mix, but that's just me.

Haaaaaalright... So, quick explanations before i do. The quality is dreadful. I'm not exaggerating, I mean recorded with a phone awful. So the words are gonna be a little bit hazy, but i honestly think these are both good. Both come with vocals and multiple guitars, one with drums, so they're almost full songs. You're just going to have to sit back and enjoy the sound of it all rather than appreciate the words...

But yeah, we were all going places, college and shit, so we just wanted to record a couple songs before we left for a long time.

You weren't exaggerating, the quality truly is dreadful, which is why I am very sad to say that I didn't listen to all of it and I feel it would be unfair to judge you based on this recording.

Full moon is ok, though the drum-track is too prominent and the drum-intro a bit too long, whilst the guitar could do with being a bit louder.

Dun Widdett is better in that regard and a better song overall.

This was all kinds of fucked up, and I mean this in a good way. Not really what I would listen to in my off time, but if I ever need to give my nightmares a soundtrack, I think this might be a good place to start.

They don't sound that way on my end, but then again it was probably how the music creation software that I used at the time compressed things. There's a myriad of reasons why I don't use it anymore.

A game that I'm doing the music for. Technically, those two were for a game that I was working on, but later got dropped by the creator for....reasons that were never explained to me actually. So I just use them as a reference of work, and they just sit there doing nothing.

Nope. It was originally called that because our bassist was a bit obsessed with haikus at the time, so he wanted us to write lyrics out purely in haikus. Everything we tried didn't really work out, so we went with the lyrics we have and simply kept the title for the memories. Also, thanks for the feedback. We also get the whole being broke thing, considering we have a song literally called, "Broke."

Yes, mixing is not my strong suite. Eventually, I plan to go back and redo the tracks at the right levels.

Until then, the site serves as more of a "Musical Resume" on what I can play and write.

I have a side gig as an "e-Session Guitarist". So I typically just lay down the guitar tracks and leave the final mix-down to someone else.

Quick comment about "Wasted Time": that's my "Tribute to Pink Floyd". So the gain and effects were intentional to give it that psychedelic feel . And, the main melody is derived from Gilmore's guitar solo in "Time".

Recorded some stuff when I was in school because they had an awesome studio. Had to learn everything from scratch with no prior knowledge, both with the technical stuff and the instruments.

The results? Meh. An old friend of mine played the drums while I did the vocals and guitar(only bass guitar in a few songs, not sure why we skipped it). We did most of it in one-take recordings, apart from the vocals, and couldn't bother to do it again if something messed up.

Wake Up... Time to Act! and Metal Pig II: The Journey Out of Hell are probably the least ear bleeding. They're the last songs we did(second one being written and recorded during our very last 30 minutes of school before graduation) so we were at least a bit better than when we started out.

Don't play much these days since I can't figure out what the hell I want to play. Pondering between Swedish trallpunk and death metal at the moment, but I still suck too much at guitar to make it work and I don't have the patience to practise.

First of all, I do post outside of the guitarist group(Which everyone should totally join by the way, quote or PM me), it's just that I prefer Lurking because the general populace of the forums scare me.

Also, if you're talking bout the rhythm distortion, I'll admit, I lowered the gain on that because, it being my first shot at recording, I didn't want it to be too muddy.

Also, almost all of my songs on soundcloud are long, breaking 6 minute epic length. I love my music long, hard, fast and incoherent(like my sex/masturbation/Thesis work)

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you on the drum track for the second song. It is mostly that way because I was experimenting with deliberately bad time signatures, ending up with 13 over 7, whatever that means (I should also note that I am in no way musically educated and have no idea what I'm doing in the creation of these things other than making something that sounds nice to me). I think that resulted in a situation where I would either have some very off-putting silences in each bar or I would have to fill every possible beat per bar just to get it sounding vaguely decent (a property of choosing prime numbers I suspect). If I continue to make music I will definitely be sure to use more traditional time signatures.
