Must have PC games

Which PC games do you think are must haves for any PC gamer?

Startopia. A decent chess game. And maybe something like NWN or Diablo 2.

If you like FPS games, Team Fortress 2. That's just my opinion though, I don't thing there are any "Must Haves" for anything.

Left 4 Dead 1/2, Team Fortress 2, Dragon Age: Origins, StarCraft, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Diablo II, and Company of Heroes.

And I would say Crysis if I had it.

Team Fortress 2, maybe Portal. Any Total War game.

The Half Life series is overrated. I got it in the Orange Box. Complete HL2, haven't touched Ep1 or EP2. Get the Orange Box definitely, it's as good a deal as you'll find.

EDIT: Diablo 2 of course.

- Older LA games (Grim Fandango, etc. although I never played them, I just know the popularity)
- For me, the first CoD - the series has yet to beat the moment where you charge Red Square with only 5 rounds and no gun

A Total War Game,
Some form of WRPG like Baldurs Gate or Neverwinter Nights.
Worms Armageddon.

And whatever multiplayer RTS that takes your fancy, with possibly an MMO.

That would keep me happy for awhile, actually it has, but I've had a lot more as well.

Just something of each genre is good.

Counter Strike (Any version) and Starcraft...

People have very different tastes in games. Even PC gamers despite all the rubbish about how advanced the graphics in Crysis were.
