if you want ALL OF THE XP, go into ground war, and run the recon drone. You'll get an extra 1K+ XP PER ROUND, at least.
This is why, if you're sole goal is to win, the best thing to do is go into battle with one of the fastest scout or medium mechs you can get equipped with a Gauss or two.Kahunaburger said:All excellent tips.Mr.K. said:MechWarrior?
OK, pro tip always keep an eye on those heat sinks, if you shut down in the middle of a battle it is all over for you.
Also try and stay close to cover before engaging anyone at high range, so if they pull out some mad trick you haven't seen before you can take a step back and sort the mech out for the next encounter.
Or if you are really good go at it at full speed, get on their back and just lay down the pain, most people are used to just dealing with long range targets and break down when it gets up close and personal.
Also, OP, I hesitate to recommend this because it is kind of a freebirth move to pull, but have you tried legging? Unlike a lot (all?) of the other MW games, legging is instantly lethal in MW3. Leg armor is generally substantially weaker than torso armor.
Haha, that's why a Jenner II-C laser boat is secretly the best mech in MW2. You zig-zag around with jump-jets and basically do this:Vigormortis said:This is why, if you're sole goal is to win, the best thing to do is go into battle with one of the fastest scout or medium mechs you can get equipped with a Gauss or two.Kahunaburger said:All excellent tips.Mr.K. said:MechWarrior?

A few well placed shots to the knee and you'll take down even the most threatening of the assault-class mechs.
'Course, you could also do the honorable thing and just walk into battle with a 70+ ton missile-boat.
