This is what I'm currently using. I think it is quite tasteful. Got some good comments on it.

I see a man who enjoys being sexually unfulfilled.
Weither or not I enjoy my inevitable end isn't really the point here, though I quite see where you drew that conclusion from.

Jesus, lot of judgement for the OP here. Does everyone seriously believe liking scantily-clad women is perverted? It's just some goddamn cartoons, people. Chill out.

OP, I say that anyone who decides you are some kind of sad pervert based on those pictures is the one with the problem. Display your sexy backgrounds with pride!

Photoshop e-peen on each anime girl and voila! Futanari! Guaranteed to scare off any guy or girl, or my name isn't Reginald T. Scrufflebottom!
Wouldn't bother me.
Yeah, I'm with this guy. I mean, I'd never use those pictures as backgrounds, but the amount of judgement here is ridiculous. At first I thought it was teasing, but it's gone on and on... How is this perverted exactly?

Seems pretty harmless to me...

The odd mechanized vagina's might be a bit overkill. But then again, it's your laptop, you should put whatever. If it was easier to find oversexualized male characters, I know that Speedo Leon would be my background.

I'm gonna put my opinion in bullets to make it easy to read:

- The problem isn't that the pictures are of anime, it's more that they are borderline porn.
- Since they are a desktop background, you will be looking at your fetishes frequently, not to mention they will be greeting you every time u turn the thing on. What does that say about you?
- Not everyone likes this sort of thing.
- People around you cannot realistically avoid being exposed to it, unless they never again need to use your computer or look in your direction.
- Imagine having a roommate with a shirt that has 2 gay men fucking on it, it does not bother him but it leaves you with little option if you don't like it. A desktop is of course more private than a shirt but it is still somewhat public
- If you like this sort of thing you should put it in a folder somewhere and look at them when it's safe.

Borderline porn?

Considering they're more dressed than most of the pin-ups men put up on their walls or as their backgrounds, I fail too see where that idea comes from.

As a woman, I agree with your taste.

*Right clicks and saves*

Why not even out the "vulgar" by evening out the field?

That raises a good point; what if they had been pictures of real women, even dressed like the backgrounds? Would it be the same issue then?

So why'd you need a static pair of tits on your desktop anyway?

Desktops is for business! Internet is for pron.

No. Not in my opinion anyway.

In the best case scenario, a girl is going to look at those pictures and think 'geek' or 'man child'. That probably goes for the generic gaming ones too tbh.

Worst case though she's going to think hentai, which is just one step away from some REALLY scary stuff.

Having a real scantily clad woman on your desktop is neither geeky nor perverted so you'd probably get away with it. Nothing NSFW though, that would be too much I think.

The problem with the whole "anime as pinup" bit (referring to public displaying of this sort of thing) is that anime chicks have EXTREMELY unrealistic bodies as a general rule. I mean, most of the sorts of anime girls used as "models" for wallpapers and cheesecake drawings would have all sorts of back problems, not to mention human beings just don't look like that.

I think some women feel threatened by this body image that is so inhuman it's not even possible to ever remotely measure up. That, and it's a doodle of something vaguely resembling a woman, with all the reproductive parts modified to be more attractive to men, which seems a little childish.

I'm not saying it's bad to find drawings attractive, I'm just noting some reasons why women might feel uncomfortable with such drawings. I mean, if I saw some lady had a wallpaper of a typical shojo guy almost completely naked with inhuman endowments, I'd think that girl is probably a little strange to be so overtly flaunting that stuff. It's just a little creepy. Like, on the creepy scale, let's say a tasteful art photograph (but it's a nude) is a 2. A playboy spread is a 4 or 5. An erotic drawing with greatly exaggerated physical characteristics proudly displayed as a desktop wallpaper would be, maybe, an 8? I mean, it's not actually porn, but with most of those pictures it might as well be for as much as is visible.

Again, not saying anime is bad, not saying porn is bad, not saying cheesecake is bad, or even a combination of those things is bad. I'm just saying, keep the desktop PG in case a girl, family member or kid uses or looks at your computer ever for any reason.
