Circumsision part? Unless theres a real medical reason for it. It tends to be a practice commonly associated with jews and americans.

God, I feel bad for that. Though if he does get a bionic penis, he should insure that it can be used as a grappling hook. It could come in handy if anyone else tries to cut bits of him off.

Something kinda maybe similar happened to a woman, too. She went in for a routine gynaecological procedure and had her leg amputated by mistake. It's no "removing her penis", but still, a leg.

I think the doctor who did these surgeries are the same guy, who got his medical licence out of a cereal box.

Well actually, circumcisions are medically healthy for men. The fold of skin that covers the head of one's penis? Unless you clean it regularly and heavily each shower time, you can develop bacterial infections and other nasties. Also a place where warts and herpes can grow if you get them.

And regarding the topic: Complete slice off is totally malpractice! Normal circumstances would just have the cancer part removed. Which, depending on the type, would be barely an inch? Even then yeah, patient permission and all that. Sucks to be him though!

Ehem, but, yeah, what the hell? Sure, the doctor had good intentions, but, you know, shouldn't you consult the patient instead without doing spur-of-the-moment decisions? What about the other doctor's present, I would assume there was an anesthesiologist or something, cutting off someone's dick ain't a normal procedure.

ok discussing this my RN mom we came to the same conclusion. It's frigging stage one! And the consent the patient signed for the circumcision didn't cover the penectomy. I hope this guy takes the doctor and the hospital for everything and pushes for the dr to have his medical license revoked.

And there is a medical reason for circumision. There is a condition where the foreskin will not retract and can become like a torniquet to the penis. My mother saw a case of it before...not pretty
