I'm really really sick of the phrase "faith in humanity". I really am. If something terrible happens, it's terrible, but does it really affect the way I think about humanity as a whole? No.

What's going on at the school is unfortunate, but it doesn't change my opinion on human nature.

speaking as a foreigner, They really do give you a bad name. When you don't know many other americans personally it is hard to not think of you as racist fuckheads.

I (as well as most of my friends and family) are aware of this. It's the reason I want to desperately go somewhere else (preferably somewhere where they don't ban and/or cut my favorite horror movies, Britain), and it's also the reason my sister plans on moving to the French countryside.
