My first PS3 game

I'd say the Ratchet & Clank games, Uncharted 1 or 2(I played the second before the first and understood everything going on), or inFamous, which was my first PS3 game.

My first PS3 games was Arkham Asylum. Great game but set-up took about 2 hours downloading and uploading updates and installing the game itself >.<

Since you are European, a great option would be to spend the money you would use on buying a game and getting a 1 year subscription for Playstation Plus for 50? and you get a free copy of Little Big Planet (Plus Wipeout HD + minis/ps1 classic from the first month and you already got your 50? worth, except now you get free games all year)

And Both Little Big Planet and Wipeout HD allow for local multiplayer, so its a win win.

Demon's Souls.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. No splitscreen, but the online is integrated into the single player.

This x 100000. Seriously awesome game, although I can only recommend it if you're confident in your gaming skills because it's not for those with lead thumbs.


Otherwise, I'd say Uncharted 2 is a great way to go. Red Dead Redemption is pretty good but honestly it gets old.

Currently playing Demon's souls, it's incredible, if only the last boss wasn't such a cheat.

I highly recommend Heavy Rain, God of War 3, and the Resistance and Uncharted games. Avoid Killzone 2 like the plague! The controls are way off and the voice acting is annoying.

I'm not a PS3 owner, but while I've heard Red Dead Redemption is really good; like some other people said, maybe you should look for older, cheaper games, and you will get little more for your money.

Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are the must-own exclusives for the PS3. Period.

I'd personally add Infamous to that list also. Only Uncharted 2 has multiplayer, and its online, but its so fun...never thought I'd like that sorta thing but I play it more often than anything else on my PS3

You really think so? I mean...you're obviously free to have your own opinion but I thought this game was incredibly lackluster especially in comparison to Infamous. Great concepts (and I mean GREAT) but they just didn't quite deliver. Wouldn't say its a bad game by any stretch but a game that spent so long in development it was a bit of a let down...

I'd take him over the Flamelurker any day.

At least Allant gives you some room to breathe once in a while, FL is on your ass 24/7.
