I must say, my faith in humanity wavers while reading this forum.

Didn't we all learn in kindergarten that Martin Luther King Jr. was such a great man because he fought so hard against prejudice and rascism. We learned that prejudice and hatred are VERY BAD THINGS. Well, anyway. Due to my love of the free exchange of ideas I wouldn't particularly mind your friends opinion. Why? Simply because everyone deserves their opinion and bankrupt opinions are always swept under the rug eventually. Which is why the free exchange of ideas works so god damn well! Some one said that the best cure for social troubles is time, something to that effect. Well they are right. Example. What i was trying to put across is we should all see how ridiculous it is to hate other people for completely arbitrary reasons and that it really doesn't matter about someone's sexual orientation (unless you want to have sex with them).

And to all those who believe homosexuality is a mental condition...I say that has room for debate. Think about it: A species first prorities are to live and reproduce. Repoduction is not possible for two people of the same sex. Its almost as though homosexuals are deveating from their basest instincts. But others think sexuality is a choice. I disagree personally. No matter how hard someone tries they cannot force themselves to like a gender they don't. I can't force myself to like other men just the same as a gay man can't force himself to be attracted to a woman. I believe it happens at birth. My neighbor has a gay hairdresser. He asked him one day "When did you first realize you were gay?" The man said "Well, you know how the girls in elementary schools like to chase the boys around and the boys ran because of 'cooties' or something? Well I wanted to be one of the girls chasing the boys. That was all there was to it." This shows a somewhat valid argument that homosexuallity possibly begins at birth and is not a choice. I don't believe it would be a psychological problem unless a child had gay parents who forced being gay apon him when he was young. Other than that I believe it lies in the hormones (I have said I belive a lot, I know :]). Hormone levels are different from person to person. Maybe one guy got more estrogen than another in his system.

Someone hasn't researched parenting at all it seems. Males can provide feminine influences just as females can provide male influences. All the research on same sex parenting shows that it's no different from different sex parenting.
