My friend thinks I'm stupid for choosing Arkham City over Battlefield 3

i would like to point out that i am buying battlefield 3 but not batman. neither franchise interests me, im just playing the multiplayer with friends.

Depends. If you really enjoyed that latest, newest, most modern incarnation of Batman as a beat'em-up brawler, you should probably get Arkham City no questions asked. Had you been playing/living/breathing all sorts of single and multiplayer warfare, it would be foolish not to be a part of BF3 and/or MW3. People are different. I only know a fistful of folks who buy EVERY game for EVERY system and, let me tell you, they are not the most knowledgeable or most fun playing buddies to hang around with.

I listen to screamo mostly, but I mean, there's a clear difference between metal and screamo. He even though Dethklok was screamo...

My boyfriends really ignorant sometimes. He thinks his opinion is always right and it's the be all and end all of everything. He thinks poppier bands like Mcfly who play guitar don't actually play and don't know how to. Whenever I say it about his precious Paramore as a joke, he gets really defensive though.
I have to put up with ignorance everyday, even I can be sometimes. You just take it in your stride or else you'll go mad.

EDIT: Also, Arkham City all the way. Battlefield looks good but I personally think there's billions of games like that. Arkham City looks awesome so far.

my friend tells the kid about Vanquish (a game my friend LOVES).
Kid goes "bah, stupid unrealistic game!".
Friend finally manages to convince kid to play it.
Kid plays tutorial, loves it.
Kid plays first level, gets his ass kicked twice for being WAY too reckless.
Kid then claims the game sucks.
When I ask him WHY the game sucks (after hearing about the above), he goes "it just sucks!" and offers no reason.
When I ask him if it was just too hard/difficult/unforgiving for him, he goes "no, it just sucks".

I'm also not going to go into his hypocrisy of his "oh, ANOTHER stupid unrealistic game! They all suck!" opinion...and the fact that he ENJOYS STARCRAFT 2. WHILE PLAYING AS THE PROTOSS.

I have a friend who when I mentioned Limbo and Bastion (I think I may have even mentioned tf2 or half life 2) to him he said that they were all crap and Fifa: New Roster Edition#19 was better. I asked him to give me 5 reasons why he didn't like them and his reasons were: I've never played it, I've never heard of it, They probably have queer ass colorful shit, Bastion doesn't even sound like a proper game and I don't think he could make up a fifth one. Lets just say that I dont talk about video games with that friend anymore.

PS: Guys, the discussion in this thread wasnt about if bf3 or AA will be better OR how you would like to sickly take out your rage on this kid. It was about recounting your experience with stupid people like this.
