Please, fuck off or take it into a user group.
Edit:
Considering the message of acceptance and love you guys seem to be proselytising I find it quite ironic that I've been reported. Especially since I offered no insult; is being likened to a missionary really worthy of a probation? Especially when you're behaving as such?
As for my tone, it adequately expressed my feelings on the matter. I wasn't directly insulting or rude though; fuck off is a synonym for go away expressed with less patience. It makes no individual insult. Pleasantly asking you guys to go away is also no different from doing so in the manner I did, one is just honest. You're going to get my opinion, would you prefer it be honest and rude or pleasant and manipulative? I even said please for fuck's sake. 25 posts off of Morpheus too, I hope you're happy.

Long answer, does it behoof you to actually read some of the posts in this or indeed other threads before asking?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you guys were all just trolling. I watched like, ten minutes of the first episode and said; fuck this, not to my tastes.
The staggering amount of people who spam images and have avatars from this show suggests to me that its not just a show people like. People like lots of shows. I don't see anyone carrying on about 'Bones' this fervently.
-edit- To answer you concisely. I skimmed this thread and thought I might have a good chance of getting a straight forward answer. Rather than condescending attempt at wit.
A form of entertainment media inspiring a web-based community who talk about all matter of subjects in addition to their favored entertainment?! I really don't get this complaint since it really doesn't affect anyone it's not directed at, and even then... The internet in general is so much worse than that "welcome" bronies use.josemlopes said:While the show is good I find that the community takes things a bit too far, the "Welcome to the herd" thing is kind of creepy
Can I just say that as a fan of the show, I kind of agree? It really annoys me when people refer to something that doesn't (and shouldn't) define them on any meaningful level as a 'culture'? I can kind of get behind the use of the phrase 'sub-culture', but even then I feel that there has to be some kind of common mindset or background that unites the individuals on a more meaningful level which is something that both Furries and MLP fans seem to lack.ultimateownage said:My fucking god. I had a problem with the furry culture constantly being in people's faces over their fascination with their 'Peace is the furry' stuff trying to act like the furry thing changes them as a person. But that... that really beats it. I was only mildly annoyed by Furries doing that.SPARTANXIII said:snip
Dude, it's a fucking show. Your little group chat isn't a 'culture', it's just a little group who talk about the show sometimes.
I seriously wish people would just watch the show, talk about it with their friends, and leave it at that. It's just a fucking TV Show, if any other TV Show was obsessed over to these levels I'd have the same complaint.
No, it isn't. It's rude. There's a difference.Furioso said:Do you even realize what you wright? I am sorry somebody ruined your Morpheus badge, Kurupt, that was not very loving or tolerating of them. I think if you were to look at it objectively though, you were being a little insulting. "You lot" and "god damned missionaries" certainly seemed to imply some amount of insult. I think you could have phrased your opinion without being rude in any way, by simply saying that you do not appreciate these threads that are posted, and you think we push others to join the fandom too hard.kurupt87 said:No, it isn't. Why bother doing so nicely? Others have done so before with the result of absolutely no decline in the number of threads you guys post.no space said:I am sorry somebody ruined your Morpheus badge, Kurupt, that was not very loving or tolerating of them. I would also like to point out that only a few of these threads get posted a day, maybe one or two, and I have never seen the fandom take over completely unrelated threads. At most we will swarm to a thread that is solely aimed at attacking us or the show, just the same way that any group would swarm to a thread attacking them - though I must say, I believe we do it in a much gentler manner.
To everyone who has a problem with what this show means to people, or how much people like it, I just have to ask why? Why is it such a bad thing that a children's television show is making people happy, and encouraging them to spread love and acceptance? I personally wouldn't care where such a message came from, I would just be delighted that someone was able to deliver it.
Not a single one of your posts has been on topic, could you perhaps flame somewhere else, or maybe start your own thread to flame us in?kurupt87 said:Why bother doing so nicely? Others have done so before with the result of absolutely no decline in the number of threads you guys post.
Do you realise how absurd one or two threads a day, consistently held on the top of the pile, about a childrens cartoon is. It could be the best show in the world and there is no need for this amount of repeating threads.
The circumcision thread, a topic much more worthy of discussion than yours, has been dredged up each week now going back at least a month. I am bored of it personally, I think everything's been said; but it has one post a week, is a topic worthy of discussion and is aimed at general users and their opinions. That is also the closest I could come to a repeat thread, of which you have absurd amounts.
I don't care about your show, I don't care that you do care. I have no problem with you liking it either.
However, your group's members incessant posts aren't for the general user base, they're for your own little club. Or for recruiting people to it, proselytisation in a ridiculous sense. I'm fed up with it, and if I am I suspect many others are. Again, go away and take it to your user group or a forum especially for MLP.
You lot - Indicating a group of people, you clearly are one; almost a cult for crying out loud.
God damaned missionaries - a missionary is someone who won't stop trying to convince you that their way of thinking is correct; you're doing that too. "God damned" because that attitude pisses me, and most people, right the fuck off.
You're also actually acting like Christian missionaries, playing the persecuted pity-me card. Are you going to respect the fact that people disagree with you and want you out of their faces? Or are you going to ignore it and continue? Intentionally pissing them off.
And I care very little about the stupid badge, more though than I care whether it was or not loving or tolerant to report me. I care that the complainer did the equivalent of going to mummy or daddy and telling rather than questioning why I said what I did. That bothers me, but it's more a problem that is part of this site and its manner of moderation; I can deal with it. Talk about persecution complex though, another Christian trait. More interested in punishment for a percieved wrong against them than understanding any possible reason for dissension.
Does it not appall you that I'm having to treat you like this? Like some religious cult? It's absurd. Look at yourselves.
Unless it's all some wonderfully elaborate trolling of course, in which case I look forward to it being exposed and the mighty banhammer being swung.
Right, it's late. I'm out.
Favoured entertainment is different than a single show. That show says nothing about them as a person. At all. The only thing it tells me is that they might have a higher chance of liking cartoons.Innegativeion said:A form of entertainment media inspiring a web-based community who talk about all matter of subjects in addition to their favored entertainment?! There's one thing you're forgetting; Gaming is a MEDIUM! You can't compare gaming to a single show. That's like comparing a single twilight book to every movie ever made. One is a single example of a medium, and one is an entire medium. What's next?! A website devoted to gaming and gaming culture?! OH THE HORROR!
So some cartoon show on TV is influencing peoples normal routine? That's more than a little pathetic. And he said it himself, the 'community' doesn't just talk about the show.Media influencing day to day life... PREPOSTEROUS. As if people spend their livelihood writing comedy, voice acting, animating, drawing, composing, or critiquing media. Such a fanciful prospect.
I think that just shows how deeply rooted this culture is into the Internet now ^_^Uberman5000 said:-epic snip of epicness-
