Honestly id rather play through the first 6 hours of this game again then play mw2 a bigger pile of shit there is not. regardless the game has picked up and is getting much better now. Since lightning shows signs of being human-gasp-. And hope has grown some stones.

30 hour tutorial. By the time you get to the real game it is practically over. Of course the real game doesn't open up until after the credits

He's rarely opened his mouth to do anything but shout "Why me?!" or groan patheticly. That said, if I could throw any of the characters into a raging fire it would be Snow.
But you have to understand where he is coming from. His mother was pretty much his world and when you lose someone you tend to act emotionally and even self pitying. I lost my father and almost my mother--if I was in Hope's place I'd probably spend the whole game crying on the ground or sedated.
(and I'd be there to roast marshmallows over Snow's smoldering corpse)
But he then blames Snow for her death when it was his fault. If he'd not wussed out when Snow tried to give him the gun than his mum wouldn't have even been fighting!
So, accepting that he blames Snow and is determined to murder him, Hope then spends a couple of days not just unable to carry out the murder, but unable to work up the courage to even talk to Snow. Biggest pussy ever. Only finally tries to kill Snow when Snow is severely vulnerable hanging by his fingertips from a ledge after protecting Hope for god knows how long, biggest dick move ever.

Maybe you should have put that in spoilers for those who didn't know that...

A spoiler is made like this:
Replace the () brackets with square brackets -
(spoiler)My spoiler is typed here(/spoiler)

See, this is the result.
i know how, but i just didnt care

I like Vanille however i do not like Hope.(please tell me he mans up later on) Still this is ridiculous it shouldn't take 10 chapters and 2 discs to choose my own character -.-'.
He sure does.

Hope is pretty much on his deathbed and tells the party to go ahead and try and free themselves without him.
And yet it does nothing to make me like him more...

So where you at with this game Jaranja?
As you can see in my post above, I'm in Rank A missions (but just starting them). Still trying to get my first Trapezohedron... darn things are impossibly expensive and the monster that drops it is still out of reach for my party. One good stomp and it's game over...
Second Barthandalus fight. He's freakin' hard.

Honestly, if you look back to Final Fantasy 6 (what many consider to be the best game in the series) it takes a good long while before you get that option as well.

Stop the Hope hate! I just did a meta on lj on how people unfairly think Hope is 'whiny'.
If you have to hate anyone, hate Snow!

Shyeah. You'd think his mom died or something.

You get the full party towards the end of Chapter 9. Even then you can't change the leader, but you can change the other two members.

It's fully-customizable at chapter 10.

One thing I'm actually loving about this game is when I can finally choose my party, I'm utilizing everyone. I wish I could save my paradigm choices for each group combo though... maybe I'm just switching people around too much. I can't help it though! I want them all to be useful!!

This reminds me. what happened to soldiers dropping gil? Are they all volunteers or something? or does the party just have too much pride to go digging through their wallets?

Rather than gil dropping in the game, you'll occasionally pick up Premium Items which are just components which say 'premium' in the description at some point. Examples are Credit/Incentive chips (which drop from soldiers) and plush toys (Moogle, Chocobo, Cactuar) which you can sell off for gil. Also Platinum Ingots, but those are really end game only items. There are a few others as well, but mostly you'll just be checking the description of components to see if they say 'Premium' and then selling those off. You will get gil from chests as well, but never in any substantial amount.

Good news for my game: I have enough Trap's to get a Tier 3 weapons for each character.
Bad news: I'm now a few million gil short of being able to actually upgrade character's weapons to get to that point.

Man! I have the Tier 2 weapons at level 41, raring to go... but no trapezohedrons as of yet.

Working on it though ;)
There is a method of getting 3 traps for the price of one, using Dismantle with a few of Fang/Vanille's fully mastered Tier 3 weapons. The Mistletenin (spellinglol) staff for Vanille is one which dismantles into 3 Traps, among other things.

You'll need a lot of extra cash to to upgrade each weapon. Either that or a big stack of components. The Ultracompact thingies (cost 50,000 gil, give 40,000 exp) are meant to have the best gil:exp ratio.

Also, don't be forgetting to get a 3x modifier before you use them. 36 Sturdy Bones/Vibrant Oozes will give it, though if you're like me you'll have a huge stack of extra organic components lying around because you don't have enough mechanical ones :(

That just sounds insane to me. How do you even get that high? Granted, I'm only 16 hours in the game, but I have a total of 3000 gil and have bought nothing so far. Do you farm gil somehow to be able to afford thousands and thousands of materials? Or do you just grind them?
