My PS3 was Stolen!

This happened to a few friends of mine several months ago. Several goons broke into their apartment from the second floor window. The made away with my friends ps3, his ipod, his wife's new and expensive laptop, as well as his brother's unregistered firearm. The only reason we think they didn't take more, was that their dog (caged) downstairs started to bark, spooking them off. I don't blame em for freaking, it's a big pitbull, I think hearing her bark in anger would send me on my way too.

One of the scary things, these guys tried to come back again. Twice, actually. They came the next day, yet were scared off, probably after seeing that my friend and his brother were still in the apartment that day. The next week, the brother found several men ransacking his truck in the middle of the night. My friend assumes it was the same fellows. I would say that these are some pretty bold bastards.

The complex itself is a pretty nice place; however, it sits right next to some government/ghetto housing, and the two places are only separated by a fairly low wall. There's not much in the way of security apparently. My friends had moved out within the following three weeks.

Well that's life for you. My friend that goes to college with me got more things stolen from him here at college a couple weeks ago. 360, tv, microwave, all games and movies, shoes and a sweatshirt. And he can't get them back because the police don't know who did it nor can they find out who did it. =\

Geez, that sucks. I'm sorry for your loss, there's not a lot we can do about it but my suggestion is buying a Baseball bat or a club of some sort and putting nails in it. Maybe even keep a machete under your bed for night time break ins.

I hope you get it back soon.
Actually I would suggest and ax and a pit bull, my friend has both and has never had his house broken into even though he lives in a really sketchy neighborhood. I also think it is due to the fact that every other day he is out in front of his house cutting up wood, but he doesn't have a fireplace.

Anyway, well that really does suck, and I really wish that I had a team I could call to track down these jerks, beat them up, and send you your PS3.

Well maybe, if there is any justice, you PS3 was just about to die, and they only get to use it for ten minutes.

It must be terrible to get back into a sense of security again.

I've been blessed with nothing stolen from me.

Get to a friend's PS3 and see if you're online... If they are then you have two options.
1. Send them an angry message telling them to give you your PS3 back
2. Kick their ass at a game

Seriously though, I hope you get it back..!

Never had a home break-in but I managed to catch a teenager breaking into my car. He was trying to take out my CD Deck. I gave him a good beating and sent him on his way.

Call in the Kirovs.

The only thing you can do now is wait. Good luck.

looooooooooool

I mean... Um. I'm sorry.

They won't catch the guys though. You may want to keep an eye on your local craigslist.

Wow, that sucks man. Good luck on finding the bastard.

In unrelated news, I just got a new, free PS3! It was just sitting in someone's media center!

Obviously the guys were idiots for 3 reasons.

1. They broke into your house
2. They where bothered to steal a Ps3
3. They didn't steal your PC

I would call this close to best case scenario, I hope you get things sorted out soon.

Burglars are strange things. When I was younger burglars broke into my families home and took the car keys (and the car of course) as well as a bottle of whisky. The thing is, that the whisky was kept on a shelving area in the same room as a dvd player and all sorts of other technological stuff, but none of that was taken.

He was then found 3 days later asleep in the car... moron.

Even if there is nothing to discuss, going into a thread just to say that is much more pointless, and unlike the OP, is actually against the rules.

Heh they were after the ps3. That's weird:p Hope they catch the bastards!
They take the term 'fanboy' to a whole new level. The question is: Where they 360 fanboys who plan to steal everyone's PS3's and destroy them? Or PS3 fanboys who needed their fix?
