I'm just posting this to see if anyone, like myself, saw several episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic... and didn't want to watch any more.

I'm not trying to say the show is bad; I can see how it has value to some. My roommate and several other people on my dorm floor are huge fans of the show (my roommate won't call himself a Brony, but that's another conversation...). I see how it can appeal to an audience. I just didn't personally want to invest time into watching the show.

That being said, I'm not against kid shows. Avatar: The Last Airbender is a wonder to behold and I'm willing to try anything once. My Little Pony just didn't grab me as it seems to have done to so many other people.

So, fellow Escapees, I ask you: did you watch any amount of My Little Pony and not care for it as I did?

Yeah same situation thought the art was nice and had a nice plot but really didn't seem like the game changer the bronies built it up to be

No, that's usually people's reaction on the internet when I tell them I don't like MLP.

I watched a couple episodes. It was a lot better than I thought it would be, I'll give it that. Not quite hooked yet, unfortunately. Still focusing on getting caught up on season 1 of Game of Thrones. Just picked up HBO a couple weeks ago, been on a bit of a spree getting through this first season. Great stuff.

Nooo you haz to watch maooor. You wil b on of usssss! Seriously though, you saw the show and didn't like it, fair enough. I'm just glad this wasn't a thread desinged to incite pony hate/conversion though I'm sure at least one asshat from either side will try it at some point in this thread.

I tried it hesitantly out of sheer curiosity and confusion, stuck with it through the first few episodes, was impressed by episode 5 (Griffon the Brush-Off) and absolutely in love by episode 9 (Bridle Gossip). I freakin' love the show.

Also, Avatar: The Last Airbender is incredible. My favorite show of all time. You probably figured that out based on my friendly avatar. Ponies may make everything 20% cooler, but Iroh makes everything infinitely more awesome.

Some people like it some people don't.

Now can we PLEASE just leave it at that?

Both sides are starting really to get annoying.

I'm a brony.

I don't really care if you like the show or not, just don't make too much of a big deal out of it.

Eh... it's an alright show. Pretty good, with some decent humor (which seems to have pulled a lot from the internet, such as derp-faced derpy), good writing compared to a lot of children's shows, an interesting art style, and decent characters. I managed to watch the first five or so episodes and found it to be a good time-waster at least. I've been meaning to watch more, but I've just not been interested enough to go back.

But I digress. I'm in, if not the same boat, the same model of boat with a different coat of paint. I think it's a decent enough show that beats out pretty much every other children's shows that have been vomited out by these networks which seem to hate children. But standing on it's own, it manages to hold up just enough to be worth watching if you're really bored with nothing else to do, but not enough to go out of the way to watch it in my opinion.

I like the show because I like it, not bothered about the fad but it has come up with some pretty cool fan made shit and I don't care what other people think.

Bringing up you don't like it is just as much an issue as people going on about loving it.

As a watcher/fan of the show, I will say this.

[HEADING=2]THANK YOU![/HEADING]

Thank you so much for putting up something that doesn't say "OMG THE SHOW SUCKS YOU ALL SUCK FOR LIKING THIS SHOW YOU'RE ALL SUBHUMAN FAGGOTS WHO NEED TO GROW UP AND STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!"

I watched it to see what all the hype was about...
Meh I say, meh.
I can see what some people might find in it, it does have something to it that many other shows these days lack, but other than that, not worth my time.

*Sniffs the air* Doesn't anyone else smell a fire emerging?

Anyway, it's no everyone's cup of tea, some like it, some don't. There's another children's show like it in Britain, "Horrible Histories" it's called. Like MLP, it's a children's show with adult appeal (It got a Comedy BAFTA for pete's sake).

Some like it, some don't. Its human nature.
And....now I've forgotten where I was going with this.

I watched ten episodes and then quit out of lack of interest. I enjoy a lot of shows made for kids but it never grabbed me.

Even if I was interested, I think there's a difference between liking the show and actually taking part in brony 'culture' as it's been formed on the internet. The fake sincerity and randumb mentality which seem to tie up with the whole brony package just grate on me.
