Spent the majority of the day moving my best friend's stuff from her second story apartment into a storage pod that's going to be transported back east for her so she can have her stuff whilst she goes to school.

And this morning spent time in the hospital with my mum who's recovering from a surgery.(she's doing alright so no cause for concern or worry.)

And I'll be spending tomorrow doing the same thing.

Woke up to my dog pawing at the side of my bed, so I picked him up and he snuggled up against me for a while. Played Bravely Default, watched the Olympics, hung out with a friend and now I'm lurking on the Escapist forums.

So it was a typical Friday for me.

Spent most of the day delivering singing valentines to someone else's special someone, which could be pretty depressing if it wasn't also a lot of fun. Visited several family members and friends, and went to a party in the evening, where much chocolate was had.

It was a pretty satisfying day, actually.

While i don't believe my life is guided by any kind of, god, fate or destiny, if i was to believe that some kind of unseen force was directing my life, I would have to conclude that this malevolent entity was primarily concerned with ensuring I spend every February 14th alone. The month of February stands as something of a graveyard to my past relationships with three of my four serious relationships having ended in the period 1st - 10th February (on different years obviously).

As such I try to think of the 14th as just another day, although I would have to admit some shortfall in success.

Not much really, school, homework, and currently in the middle of playing through Journey with my girlfriend. Just a coincidence though, we never make a point of doing things for Valentines Day, however this year we have an agreement that we're getting each other these:

Because their absence is currently creating a void in both of our lives that needs filling.

Last time I actually did something for Valentines day was an "anti-valentines day" party hosted by two girls who were very bitter about being alone. That was as fun as it sounds

Seeing as I'm single it's been a pretty chill day. Woke up late morning, did some homework, played some Hearthstone. A single buddy who's been having a rough patch romantically came over and we bought tacos, made like two dozen cookies, drank cider and watched movies.

Well, I finally picked up my copy of Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, so, even if it was spent completely alone, it was still spent with my one and only true love: Visual novels about murder. Upupupu

Hopefully everyone else had a Super High School level Valentine's day. You're all so bear-y special to me.

I'm on Vancouver Island visiting my parents. So it was 10C today instead of -30C. That was a good start. We went all over the town, and to a couple beaches and looked for shells. Had lots of coffee, tea, rum, and food. Rainy today, but a good day anyway. Here until Tuesday morning (7am flight home, yay), so it'll be a good long weekend. I miss @Miyenne and my kitty, though.

Woke up, went to class, half-paid attention.

Ate some lunch, went to GameStop with roommate so he could get the new The Last Of Us DLC, pre-purchased movie tickets at the theater for later.

Came back to dorm, played a little bit of World of Warcraft, went to go eat dinner.

Went out to the movies to see The LEGO Movie, loved it.

Came back to the dorm, changed avatar, and now I'm perusing the Escapist forums at 1:15 in the morning.

All in all, a good day if I do say so myself.

Had the day off, so I spent it playing Hearthstone and Jade Empire, brooding and hating my fellow man.
In other words, a regular day for me, only magnified a bit due to all the bullshit lovey-dovey posts circulating the internet like a venereal disease in a whorehouse.

Got together with some other people who were free and decided to play Single Draft on Dota 2. It would probably have been funnier if they hadn't been drunkenly moaning about how lonely they were...

Wait wait wait...all the interesting X-Men characters were played by LGBT actors from commonwealth nations? Magneto, Rogue, Shadowcat...

Unless you count Xavier, cause Patrick Stewart isn't gay, AFAIK.

I'm hardly one that celebrates any holiday. I just visited a friends house. We watched some videos on youtube. I played DMC3, practicing royal guard. Then we played Super Mario 3D World. Then he played the new Last Of Us Left Behind DLC.

Let's see...

I woke up, emailed in sick to my University since my cold was still pretty bad at the time, texted my friend to fill me in on what I've missed when the day is over, went back to sleep, woke up due to a fire alarm drill, went back to sleep, woke up again, opened laptop, browsed the Escapist, checked emails, checked to see if my eBay order had come in yet even though it clearly says the estimated time of delivery is next Wednesday, downloaded Dungeon Keeper on GoG, chatted to my girlfriend on Skype/Facebook when Skype's being a **** and not wanting to work, had a shower, heated up soup, finished off the main story of Disgaea 4, cooked pizza, grinded up some more in Disgaea 4 and went back to sleep.

So yeah, pretty much an average day for me.

Well, I spent it as I've spent all of them, alone. I tried to not let it bother me much this year.

Specifically, I had a long day of uni that I struggled to stay awake through. Bought some Groceries afterwards. Watched some GameGrumps, watched some old JonTron episodes because they always make me laugh. Played one round of coh2, and some Napoleon Total War. Ate a bunch of crisps and went to bed.

I had an up and down day. Started off pretty slow in the morning. Mostly just dicked around the house watching Olympic Hockey. My girlfriend had to work so I was going to get a shaved ice drink from one of her favorite places and bring it by her work and then take the dogs to the park.

As I was waiting in line for the drinks her mother called me and wanted me to check on her son since she couldn't get a hold of them. He's 50 years old but has a head injury so he's operating on a 10 year old level on a good day. He also lost an arm in the same accident and is on a shit ton of pills. So I get out of line and drive over to their house. I check everywhere but he's not at the house.

I drive around the block a few times until finally I catch up to him back at the house. He's obviously high as balls on pills and barely coherent. I try and talk him in to going to the ER with me but he's not having any part of that. So his mother has me call 911. I rush around their house trying to fit all seven of the dogs (four are his mothers, three are ours) there in to a back bedroom.

The fire department shows up first and I try and answer questions about how many pills he's taken and what he's supposed to be on, and I have no idea. The police arrived next and I did the same round of questions. EMS showed up last which is the one that I wanted, and a third round of questions I didn't have to answers to. While I'm not really answering questions he's still refusing to go to the ER. Finally they give him the option to either go with the EMS to the hospital, or go with the Police (since the pills were prescribed I don't know that they could arrest him, but he is still on probation so he might have gotten in trouble there, not sure).

After dealing with that for the better part of two hours I get my dogs loaded up and we hit the dog park for only about half an hour before I head back to the drink place and then to my girlfriend's work just in time for her to get off. We head back home and get ready and go to the local aquarium for a special Valentine's day thing. It was pretty fun, we got to feed and pet small sharks and rays. It was a very up and down day.

I'll tell you how I spent it, OP: I spent it being free. I felt the wind in my hair and the sun on my face. I went to work and came home again and spent the time with people of quality. Not once did I feel the cold, clammy embrace of another human being. *Shudders*.

Oh, I also listened to this:

Mmm, pipes and drums.

Boyfriend got me an awesome box of chocolates. I ate them all so now they're gone. :(

I got boyfriend Sonic Adventures 2 on the Xbox Arcade.
Then I played Skyrim most of the day.
At the end of the day me and boyfriend snuggled up to watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
And then we had a powercut 10 minutes into it because of the wind.

Oh well, it was a pretty good day.

Woke up, went to the term's last day of university, came home, started studying with my girlfriend studying in the next room.

Finals hooray!
