How many people even read the article here? This crab death thing is pretty regular, and even if it weren't, it's hardly unusual for things to die for reasons we don't understand yet. Happens all the time.

I don't know why people are in such a hurry to start the apocalypse. Things are gonna get bad enough without it.

Global (un)warming?
I think it's called "global climate change". The winters are getting colder while the summers are getting hotter.

That's what i heard, anyway.

This happened last year just wasn't big in the news. New Year's fireworks. Yup. They get the shit scared out of them, take-off, then fly around till their little birdie hearts go pop. T T
...and the crabs? Also, why don't we hear the same thing on Canada Day?

Look, it's obviously something, but it's likely nothing to be worried about. There has to be a logical explanation beyond "it's a coincidence."
Looking for a meaning to a random occurrence is a gateway to speculation. Facts are what are required to move forward... We just don't have them all yet!
I agree, however, I'm just saying, I doubt it's just a coincidence. Saying it's just a coincidence is a gateway to ignorance.

Besides, someone else gave an explanation. Fireworks shocked the birds, and the crabs froze to death while foraging on land. Makes sense, I guess it is a coincidence.
