As Wesley listened to their true mission unfolding, he found himself less-and-less convinced of his conviction. He didn't want to join with the humans, he didn't want their help, and he definitely didn't want to help them. Revenge was what he wanted. Revenge; or just to make them all regret their treatment of Mythos.

He leaned against the wall and watched for Anthony to answer Eryn, more interested in action than talking. The look about him was one of a man jaded to whatever the future might bring, but knowing he would be inexplicably trapped in the events as it unfolded.

"We're going on a hunt to find a woman. She is an active member of the Anti-Mythos campaign and someone who could make our lives very difficult in the coming months to come. However if we are able to find her and convert her, well she could make our lives a lot easier in the long run," Anthony pulled a small photograph out of his pocket and showed it to the group, "This is Lucille Hoover, a UN worker based in this city. We get to her and we got ourselves either a catalyst to toning down this civil war, or at least we have a bargaining chip."

Anthony looked at the rest of the group. They all had something to fight for now. They all had a world to protect. What about him though? He had nothing. The point of all those involved in The Organization was that they were neutral, parts of Heaven, Hell and Earth. While this made sure no players broke the rules on Earth, it made it hard to identify it as his home. At this point he didn't have a home.

He put the thought out of his head for the time being. For now he was simply going to get the job he was assigned done. After that he would worry about his place in the worlds.

Eryn's ears perked up as she heard the woman's last name. It was the same as hers. The photograph also grabbed her attention. The UN worker even looked like Eryn, except for the differently colored eyes. She finally shook her head, trying to get rid of any nagging thoughts. It couldn't be her. She hadn't seen her in years. For all she knew her mother was dead.

It's not her. It's impossible. Its just a horrible, horrible coincidence.

"Well then, let's get going."

"Convert? This is gonna be fun," Justin noted, glancing at the photo. "If she's a reasonable person, it's about fifty-fifty, but we're SOL if she's any kind of zealot. They never like converting, or even talking. Most of the ones we dealt with enjoyed carbombing, so I'm hoping she's different."

"Yes, well lets worry about that when we get there," Anthony said walking out of the room, beckoning the others to follow. They couldn't linger too long, all he'd need is one of them tempted to steal an apple, all he needed was more Demi-Gods around the world, they had enough of those to worry about in the Organization, he didn't need any wild cards. A sliding door shut behind the gate as they excited the facility and headed towards Central Rome to find this Mrs. Hoover and take the first real step in ending the war. It was looking to be becoming a messy job.

Luka stood in the chambers, though chambers was really only a formal way of saying it. One couldn't decide if it was a fluid that looked solid or a solid that looked fluid-like. It was a strange sensation to be in that room, in the presence of a God. Luka bowed before Her, the Mother as he prepared to deliver the mixed news, "It seems that Anthony did something none of us expected, he has shown them the Tree and the Garden."

The being stood up from Her simple throne. She was the pinnacle of beauty, not looking the same to anyone, but rather the viewer's interpretation of what true beauty was. Is this case, her skin was pale, red eyes and long raven black hair. Her thin lips spoke quickly and professionally, "This may not have been what you expected, but did I not predict this would happen?" Her voiced echoed all around Luka. He shivered feeling a chill run down his spine. It was more frightening, perhaps because he was already a dead man and couldn't feel the cold anymore.

She continued to speak, "That team has done more in three years than any of yours and the others teams put together, nixing laws, hunting politicians, hell destroying the Anti-Mythos prison. They had a right to know what they were dealing with."

"Did they need to see the Garden though?" Luka retorted, "You know as well as me the temptations of that place, to eat from the tree is to guarantee power over man, we've had too many guests do this. Remember Adolph, how about Khan? These are all people you've trusted to enter the Garden and all people that have destroyed the world there and back again on the whims of their own selfish interests. What don't you ever help us Mother?" Luka finish with an almost strangled cry.

"I do not wish my world to become like the worlds that are linked to ours Luka," Her eyes flashed for a moment, "Intervention by Gods is what destroyed Heaven and Hell, I will not let my own temptations and whims destroy what I have worked so hard to create, I cannot do it."

"Mother, you keep us in the Organization both for doing your will and for offering our opinions. This was my opinion and as such I leave the decision up to you, but know this. Neither Yahweh, nor Lucifer will have any problems helping their troops. They still retain their powers in this world, abet weakened, but still here none the less. You will need to make a decision soon," with those final cold words, Luka left the chambers to meet with the members of the Council that were still in Rome. They had much to discuss.

The three cars that housed the group dropped them in front of the building. Anthony stepped out, his eyes slowly adjusting to the light, "So Eryn," he requested casually, "Any ideas on how we're going to kidnap your mother?"

"Her mother?" Justin asked, confused. "I thought we were going after this Hoover chick-" He paused as he quickly made the connection in his head.

"Oh."

Eryn grimaced as Anthony mentioned her 'mother'. "First of all, she's not my mother. That woman did give birth to me, but just because we have the same blood doesn't mean we're family. I haven't seen her since she abandoned me, so don't call her my mother. And no, I don't know how to kidnap her either."

"My apologies Eryn, I'm afraid I don't understand the concepts of marriage or childbirth or any of that, it doesn't happen in Heaven," Anthony said clearly before turning for the rest of the team, "Stealth isn't going to be an option this time, there's only one way in and out of this building, all we can do is hope to throw them off by going in head first. Anyone who can look human will until its time to strike. Be calm and collected and we'll be fine."

Anthony looked over the group, he was still determined that he had chosen them correctly. He allowed a small smile to turn over his lips, "Any questions?"

"why not make a diversion?" suggested Azure from the shadow of the building, "some go in undercover and then the other group comes in and starts a fight, while that's going on the undercover group moves on, that way the diversionary team can hold of outside reinforcements and give the others a mostly clear run of the building, with a team searching for the target and the other at the entrance it's only a matter of time before we catch her."

after a moment Azure remembered that someone was in command of the group, "...or not, i'm not in charge of the operation, do as you wish, but i don't like to hide what i am." there was a slight hint of annoyance in the last comment, Azure didn't like hiding, from his view stealth was a cowards weapon, but since he was only a soldier in this war he didn't really have any say in the matter, or did he? Azure thought for a moment, this angel has no command over his loyalty, if he wished he could go back to his people, and fight for them in the coming war.

In fact why shouldn't he? this resistance lacked the power to make a sizable impact on the thoughts of humans, they act toward peace with a war hungry race, an unlikely outcome, his people could answer bloodshed in kind, and they would show them they weren't supirior, from what he knew the human population had a poor amount of soldiers, their technology gave them the edge sure, but almost every one of his kin could fight, they had greater numbers when it came to fighters, they could reduce humanity to an stable amount and they would get a second chance to grow, though under supervision, the world would have its peace, one way or another.

But they were still undecided, as the apostle had said after marking him, some wished to go to war, to qwell humanity's bloodlust, but the majority were still undecided, Azure wondered if the angel could really make a difference in time, a test, was he worthy of loyalty? he would have to wait and find out, the clock was ticking.

"Well, if we go with that plan," Justin commented, "I'm definitely going to find the lady. I don't think I'm one of the better fighters against a large group." His real concern was why stealth wasn't an option. Done well enough, it was always a feasible route to take, yet for some reason the General wanted something more dynamic.

I'm no commander, so maybe he's got a point. It'd still be nice to try something a little subtle, though.

"This mission will require some force, then." Burst commented neutrally. "Without any escape routes once we kidnap this woman, we'll have to go through the front door, like you said. Which means that we'll most likely encounter some security or resistance."

Burst looked over to Eryn, who seemed slightly troubled at the moment, and placed a hand on her shoulder to attempt to reassure her.

"It is likely that our target will not be expecting any hostility, and therefore will have only minimal security, if any at all. Without the threat of any military resistance, we should be able to escape with very few casualties to either side... Am I correct, Anthony?"

"No need to apologize", Eryn said to Anthony. "I never knew her so it's no skin off my back." Eryn shrugged to emphasize her lack of concern about the situation.

Eryn jumped slightly when she felt Burst's hand on her shoulder. She gently removed his hand and turned to face him.

"We're going after a woman who works for the UN. I seriously doubt that they're just going to let us waltz in there and take her."

"Azure, the reason I don't want a distraction is those," Anthony pointed at the men who almost blended into the background, most of them at mounted turrets, all of them armed to the teeth, "They would tear you apart before we even made it to the second floor of the complex."

Anthony closed his eyes and remembered the blueprints, her office was on the fifth floor, scaffolding was just below it, as well as the supplies to escape from her office. Anthony sighed and began to push open the door, "Follow my lead," he said walking into the building. Two men immediately went to check him, but he fired a pistol twice, once into each of their heads.

Spinning he caught another agent in his throat, crushing his Ada's Apple with a quick punch. Then then fired upon the armed men, leaving the unarmed alive.

"Well, this won't be a hard lead to follow," Justin commented, kneeling down over the two men who took the head shots. He quickly searched for their weapons, since the General was doing a good job at keeping the guards busy. Pulling out the two pistols, he stood back up and held the one in his left hand up, in case anyone else wanted it.

Wes calmly walked in behind him, and as soon as the fighting broke out he shifted form. Finally, some action.

Shots were fired in all directions, prompting him to change into a King Brown snake. He wound his way along the floor, unflinching as several bullets hit the ground around him from a frantic guard. As he neared the man he curled his body and struck, sinking his fangs into his thigh. The guard screamed in pain, knocking the snake away.

Wes hit the ground and recoiled, hissing. He watched for a moment as the neurotoxin took effect, first destroying the nerves of his leg and making him collapse. Soon the toxin would travel through his veins, paralyzing his heart and lungs.

Ms. Hoover had been in her office when the security alarms had gone off. She didn't pay any attention to it though, this kind of thing had become a common occurrence. It would usually be some insane human or Mythos demanding that the government give equal rights to Mythos.

As if they deserve it.. Those mongrels.

The door to her office swung open, revealing a security officer. "What are you doing he-"

"I'm sorry ma'am, but we need to escort you to a safer location. Shots have been fired and lives have been lost. We can't take any risk. Please hurry."

glancing at the guards the angel pointed out Azure followed the group, even if they didn't get their attention now, this was the only way in and out wasn't it? so they'd be an obstacle one way or another, unless they were going to make their own exit, in which case why not make their own entrance, it'd be much faster.

as the fighting broke out Azure didn't immediatly join in for once, he watched several humans die and began to think.

"so weak... so fragile..." muttered Azure "they may be strong one day, but their flaws will see them dead long before that time." he walked towards a guard who turned at fired several shots at Azure, striking him at the sides, he was afraid, no, terrified, his hands weren't steady at all, Azure leapt at the guard landing directly in front of him, Azure lifted him off the ground by his head amd the guard tried to scream but no sound came.

"what good is a race like yours if you can't even stand up and fight..." Azure sighed and threw the guard into a wall, knocking him out, "...be thankful human, for this is the last of my mercy." with that he drew his sword and kicked off the ground, hurling himself into a group of guards that had just come to help, as he tore into them, his mind went blank, there was nothing but death.

Justin stood up as he shoved the second pistol into the back of his waistband, then gripped the guard's pistol with both hands as he followed the General. Hearing footsteps to his right, he turned and fired, striking the corner of a wall. The shot surprised a guard behind the corner, who ducked his head down, exposing it. Taking the second shot, Justin hit the man in the head and watched as he collapsed. Justin turned back to the General as he glanced at his watch.

"If these guys are any kind of intelligent," he began, thinking back to his one VIP escort job, "they've told her they need to get out by now, so we should hurry."

Anthony continued to fire his pistols, trying his best to let his superhuman reflexes keep his edge over the guards. The others were helping and they were slowly starting to overwhelm the forces. The screams of the civilian personal were shrill and yet he resisted the urge to open fire. He couldn?t mix the message, they were only killing those who were armed, and civilians would be unhurt. He heard Justin speaking over the sounds of gunfire and screams. He was right; they would be moving her soon. They had to hurry.

Jacob Hersley was the commander of the security for the main UN building here in Rome. They usually had to put down three attempts on Hoover?s life per week, but none of them had been this extreme in years. He and his men grabbed their rifles and moved towards the incursion. The small security hadn?t put up much of a fight, but that was to be expected with Mythos of this calibre. He peaked around the corner and his eyes widened when he saw Anthony fighting along them. He remembered that angel from two years ago when he and his men had brought the being down once already. That was when they had only started his project. The Execution Program set to create humans as fast and powerful as Mythos had worked well as demonstrated in France and now, his style of troops was stock in any UN stronghold. It helped protect vital executive powers and prevent loss of human life.

He gripped his rifle and shifted it to the Satan?s Bane rounds; they were dealing with a dangerous being, one that, in his opinion should be dead already. Well there was only one option left, bring him down again. He had two og his men kick open the door and the muzzles of the rifles rang through the corridors.

Anthony looked up when he heard the door open and was blasted back by a barrage of rounds striking him all over his body. He felt the familiar burning of the Bane rounds and struggled back to his feet. His hand went to his chest, where the cool feeling of his essence poured all over his clothes and hand. He grunted and returned fire at the cloaked men. His mind was working overtime; seeing these men again brought back his memories of France, they were cloaked, rather than body armour and they had the older weapons such as swords and bows accompanying their rifles. What were they and how were they able to match Mythos is strength and speed?

He was forced to put these thoughts aside as he moved his troops out of the main area and into the elevators that led to the upper floors. Once he had been assured the doors were shut and they were moving, he sank to the ground in exhaustion.

"Assault rifles?" Justin asked between catching his breath. "We barely made it in the front door, and those guys come out... They were already here." Pulling out the magazine, he counted five rounds in the clip and slammed it back into the weapon.

"Anything else we should know about this place? Hey, maybe the elevators are bulletproof and we won't get murdered before they even open on whatever floor we're going to." Justin pulled back the slide just enough to get a look at his sixth round, letting it spring forward when he spotted it.
