"Yeah, that was the idea," Justin replied, wincing in pain as he got dragged by a sprinting werewolf in the opposite direction. "By the sound of it, more than one person's opened up so either there's more of them or our buddies are fighting back." Stopping outside the church door, he moved up to the corner and drew his pistol when he noticed a pause in the shooting.

"Mexican standoff?" He got on the ground and slowly crawled forward so he could see inside the church. "Okay, two down and Rolf has one." The other shooter that Justin spotted was near a large window, so he pulled back and sprang to his feet.

"I have an idea."

"And what's that?" Eryn said as she looked directly at the church. "Wait!" She said in a harsh whisper. Eryn tried to grab Justin's attention as he started to leave, but it was too late, he couldn't hear her.

I'm not good at planning. My usual plan is just rushing head first into a situation and killing anyone who tries to kill me. I hate churches..

Eryn walked around the building, weaving in and out of the crowd, trying to find a different way into the church.

Glancing in the window, Justin made sure his target was still there before proceeding. Okay, this could hurt, but it'll be awesome. I hope. Getting a running start, he jumped through the window with his pistol in hand, tackling his target to the ground stomach-down. Once they stopped, he shoved the gun onto the back of the man's head and looked around to spot another hostile.

"Drop your weapons, now!" he called out as he felt something wet trickling down his forehead. "Is that blood?" With his free hand he quickly wiped some of it off. "Aw crap, gonna have to stitch that up later."

Burst moved out of hiding, his human form quivering from the excitement. He aimed his sidearm at the remaining standing hostile human, and motioned for him to drop his weapon.

"You are outnumbered, please drop your weapon and surrender to us. I'd rather not have a place of prayer stained by any more blood."

The last man held his weapon out defiantly at Burst, quaking in fear. He opened his mouth to say something, but was cut short by a harsh yowl as he was pounced on from behind by a skinwalker in the form of a cougar. Wes crouched on the mans back and growled down at the back of his head, all the while kneading his back under his claws.

Anthony walked into the chaos that had been created, pistol drawn, "Wes, off him now, we want to send a mesage, not start a bloodbath," he wiped the sweat off his brow as he moved towards the Skinwalker, Why is everyone so fixated on killing one another. An endless cycle that can't be broken unless they understand. Perhaps Luka and I need to have a chat about enlightening them, this war depends on it...

"Alright, guess that means you live, too," Justin commented, bringing the man up to his knees. "Try anything, though, and you're a threat again. Got it?" The man quickly nodded, still facing forward.

Wes looked up at Anthony with his teeth bared, snarling. 'Get off him'? he thought in disgust, This worthless waste of flesh?

He waited a minute, still flexing his claws into his back, then finally huffed and backed away. He shifted back to human form and leaned against a pew, putting one finger in his mouth as he noticed the blood still wet on it.

An audible 'click' was heard as the Father entered the room and closed the door behind him.

"Such a shame." he mumbled, crossing the room and stepping behind his altar.

"This is why I preach tolerance." he started, addressing the people still taking cover within and outside the church. "A rumor got out that I wasn't human, and it seems these men came here with the intent to kill me. And had they succeeded, they may have killed some of you as well."

"And yet, these Mythos here stepped in to protect us in this place of worship when could just as easily left. Thank you."

"I missed it.." Eryn mumbled under her breath as she walked into the church. You'd think that an old church would have some type of secret entrance..

She walked past the Father, taking her side next to the other members of the group.

"You are welcome, Father." Burst said to the priest of the church. "I am terribly sorry that this happened. Blood should not have been spilled in a place of prayer."

Burst bowed his head to the priest, as if apologizing for the mess they made.

"Alright back to base; I have an announcement to make once we get there," Anthony had just gotten off the phone with Luka. It was time to show them all what the objectives really were for the group. He hailed three of the ghost car transports the Team had and gave them all the coordinates, not to the base, but someone else. They were also told to blindfold the group for the first time once they were on the road.

Anthony then got into his cab and began the trip to the Catacombs of Rome, where they would see the true cradle of civilization.

After a short wait, the would-be assassins were apprehended and taken away by the police. The group loitered outside until the transports arrived. Wes climbed inside one of the vehicles, seeing Azure already inside.

Once the vehicle started moving, they were presented with blindfolds. "What is the point of this, Anthony?" he asked. He didn't like secrets, especially from people who he thought would trust him.

"Oh no, no blindfolds," Justin began. "Three out of three times I've been blindfolded, it's ended painfully. Course, I never heard a reason for them beforehand, so if there's a why then I'll consider it." As his pulse quickened, he glanced around for the nearest wheel well.

"Blindfolds? You're not gonna take us to a field and kills us are you?" Eryn reluctantly took the blindfold, holding it in her hands before casting it aside.

"First explain why we needs blindfolds and then maybe I might put it on."

"You folks wanna see why I'm so adament about teamwork, why I concern myself with Mythos and humanity's survival, you'll put that blindfold on. This isn't your average trip, I'm risking some serious problems with taking you to the place where the world began, where you can see where humanity...and Mythos originate from, you wanna see history at its finest you're going to put on the fucking blindfolds."

"Garden of Eden?" Justin mumbled, memorizing where the wheel well was as he took the blindfold. He quickly tied a square knot with two half hitches, making sure it wouldn't come off.

Wes was a little offput by Anthony's sudden anger, and was tempted to push the issue, but thought better of it. He frowned and mumbled something about secrets, then tied on the black cloth.

Burst took the strip of cloth from their angelic general, and carefully tied it around himself, being careful of his crest now that he had returned to his draconic form.

"I will trust you, Anthony. I have no reason not to, I suppose." Burst expressed his obedience and conviction to their goal. It did seem that the others were becoming more aggressive and hostile. Odd, as Burst seemed to be experiencing the opposite effect.

Brother... I wonder if your spirit can hear me. It is strange, but I feel as if you are influencing me... I have not felt such an ambivalence towards humans in decades...

Eryn grabbed the blindfold and put it on, annoyed by Anthony's sudden change in character. "No need to get so angry.."

She sat further into her seat, yawning. I wonder what this place looks like..

Anthony got into the car and the convoy headed towards the centre of the city. Anthony lit up a cigarette. Mortal habits were so hard to break, immortal or not and he was more stressed than usual. He was sure he was breaking hundreds of the Organization's rules by bringing them here, but it needed to be done. They just couldn't understand the scope of the plan.

The cars moved into an exit that always said "closed for construction," it was a simple, yet effective way of reducing traffic into this area. The catacombs of Rome were difficult to manoeuvrer with the car, but the drivers made it work and soon they were in what was technically the centre of the city. It was fitting that this was the cradle of civilization as all knew it. Where the divines had created true life for the first time, the perfect beings in retrospect. It was odd that such flawed creatures would be the catalyst in deciding a war far greater than themselves.

The group exited the car and descended into the tunnels. They were dark at first but soon gave way to a brilliant light as they entered the underground structure that housed the Organization. The brilliant shine of a gold floor that extended into a circular walled in area glimmering with jewels and gems that reflected in the clear ceiling that allowed in the light from the sun. Fountains glimmered and forgotten art hung everywhere that should have looked cluttered, but instead only added to the beauty of the place. In the centre of it all sat a Single tree with apples that looked silver rather than the normal reds and greens. Anthony turned to face the group a smile even unable to escape him. "Welcome to Eden."
