I'm curious to what people's parents/friends make up to stop you from playing your games. Hopefully we come across something bizzarre. Though my mother kept saying it was making me stupid, yet i passed my exams.

Someone once hammered on about how they were all stupid, meaningless, and plotless (keep in mind, said family member hasn't played anyhthing since the dawn of Galaga).

My reply:

"One word: Bioshock."

That was the last I heard about that.

EDIT: There was also a time one of my family warned me that I wasn't spending enough time with my friends. For her benefit, I related the details of my last conversation with my friend David-- she had to go take a shower afterwards.

That video-games give you eye cancer and cause your parents to divorce. Not even kidding on this one, I was on a game called InkLink when that was shouted, and s/he kept trying to get us to sign petitions against all video games.

Naturally, we booted them.

American Idol and Shame acadamy. Playing games is like watching tv, but playing games involves far more thinking. Unless you're playing pacman.

Galaga? I remember that thing. I guess bioshock makes the world seem alright.

Matter of fact, I've made more friends since I got to college than I had in high school. They just all happen to live in other states/countries.

Sure, I can't see all of them, but hell if I can't have wonderful conversations with them.

My father is awesome, he used to play unreal 2004 with me.

That's probably your parents downloaded faux virus protection software, like mine. I'm glad i have my own computer now.
