So, I just came back from my dorm to pick up some old gaming stuff from home, and I find that almost all of it is gone! It turns out that my mom decided to use my old N64 as a gift to my cousin, and I love the little bugger, so I can't ask for it back. BUT! I still am yearning to play some of those 1990's classics, and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get an emulator and some roms for N64. A mac version would be preferable, but I can run windows if necessary. Any suggestions?

I believe a moment of silence is in order for your N64.

...

Well, go with what they said.

Edit: Finally a reason to use this.

Yeah... the emulator is legal to use, so long as you have had an N64, but the roms are piracy... i use the actual ps1 discs in my pc with my emulator so i'm not breaking any laws... good luck though i know what you feel.

Buy one for like A$50 give or take.
Try ebay even. I would assume if your mum gave the console to your cousin, she would have given him the games (surely it would be useless otherwise) and so its illegal for you to download roms of games you don't have anyway.

A few years back I wouldn't have had a problem with that because you couldn't buy new N64 games anyway, but because the Wii has its virtual console now, there are other options for getting old games so there's no excuse for piracy.

I feel for you. Half of my cartridges are with some friends whom I am no longer on speaking terms with. The other are buried under cobwebs, dust and cardboard boxes in a storage shed. Even if I had it all, not all my controllers still work and it is a pain worming myself into the labyrinth behind the home entertainment system to pull the plugs on the modern consoles and plugging the old ones back in.

MegaGames helped me with this. But the ROMs are not the same. Those games weren't designed for my monitor's 16:10 Aspect Ratio and such a high resolution.

Nothing can replicate the joy of coming home from a long school day to sit on the floor with your best friend beside you, and yell at the TV with rabbit ears during a game of Perfect Dark or Super Smash Brothers.

I'm sure you'd be singing a different story had it been your 64 with all your games given away after you had bought them.

Brilliant!

OT:
I forgot all about emulators!
Oh man, I need to get back into that. I stopped when I realized I could pirate better games as well.
