I'd have to go with 'Coupling'. Even though the season leading up to the series's end wasn't as perfect as the two preceding it, the way they ended was, especially as a father myself.

Edit: Oh, and Friends.

Like many others here, Blackadder ended magnificently.

Completely in canon with other series endings, solemn, respectful and it showed an aspect of Blackadder not seen in other episodes (honour and duty etc).

I also really enjoy the series finale of Spaced. After 2 seasons of mock will-they-won't-they sexual tension, Tim and Daisy satisfy this subplot with Tim resting his head on Daisy's head.

No generic "I've always loved you" lines or first kiss under the stars. The subplot was resolved with a simple action. The fact that it worked so well is great for describing the genius that is behind Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson.

As much as I would love more episodes of it, Samurai Jack ended on a high note. The final episode, Jack and the Baby, shows Jack doing what he does best: fighting off monsters, protecting the innocent, then inspiring the next generation of hero.

Death Note, it had the decency to end on a high note instead of making a stupid number so episodes, i'm looking at you Bleach.
After around 15 it passed that mark for me

Not Twin Peaks.
No spoilers, but Twin Peaks had a terrible ending.

Babylon 5 ended well, though.
dammit i just started watching twin peaks.... is it really really bad?
Not too bad.
While it's a great show and you should continue watching by all means, the ending doesn't tie everything up well, and is kind of a disappointment.
It ends up asking more questions than it truly answers, which is good, but the manner in which it does so is aggravating.

Keep watching, and don't look up the plot.
It will ruin everything for you.

Maybe when Dexter ends (Or has it already? We've only got 3 seasons where I live).
Nope, it hasn't ended yet. There are 5 seasons so far, I think, and there have been no news or rumors of it ending anytime soon.
Shame. I frankly think it lost it's magic after season 4. I watched Season 5 and... eh, it was passable, but not brilliant.

Battlestar Galactica. A lot of people ***** about it but when they do they only reveal that they didn't get what it was all about. It was a way deeper ending than a lot of people realise. M*A*S*H ended well for its time. Arrested Development and Caprica ended before their time.

King of the Hill. Maybe not the best, but it was a pretty good ending, and the very fact that they ended it while the show was still fairly good makes it a dignified end(unlike some OTHER certain adult cartoon shows that should seriously end by now >_>)

Firefly? Just kidding. I honestly can't name that many. The ones I'm really into are still going

Life on Mars! I won't say here, since it would fuck the entire series for anyone who hasn't seen it, but for me it was absolutely perfect.

Yeah, I like the fact that they had a plan and executed it but that show really is the prime example of why people see anime as bizarre and hard to follow. It wasn't enjoyable for me.

OT: Buffy has already been said but its true. In reality they got two great endings, [spoiler alert] She dies, protecting the people she loves and finds peace, and then she is no longer the lone ranger protecting the world from the vampires, demons and monsters. I don't think there is anymore you can ask of a good ending.

I will add Dollhouse to the list. It was just starting to get really interesting and into the whole future world and they had to end it. I think they managed very well with Epitaph 2. It gave a sense of relief and consequence in equal measure that most sci-fi shows don't hit.

That's too bad, I'm watching it on Netflix. I already watched the prequel movie, so I know who the murderer is.
Eh, I don't care. It's a weird show, and I'm loving it.
Especially that funny little man who talks backwards and forwards at the same time. He truly amuses me for some reason.

OT: I can't think of any that ended perfectly. I guess I haven't watched too many TV shows to their fullest.

The first season of Heroes ended spectacularly.

The second season was supposed to end well, and it had potential...but then the writers strike rolled in...

And the third and fourth seasons were convoluted garbage.

The Simpsons will have an awesome finale no matter what, simply because it will be over.

What you say?
Why you watch Fire Walk With Me first?

Smeary-Hulk angry!
Smeary-Hulk smash!

Seriously though.
You shouldn't have done that.
The prequel is not as good as the series, and was a bit of an afterthought.
Also, it spoiled an awesome story for you.

Cowboy Bebop, fuck yes. Also,a live action Bebop movie naturally sounds like a shit idea, especially seeing as we had closure.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica (the Evangelion of magical girl shows) ended rather well (better then the combo of Eva and end of Eva). The plot was wrapped up but i left room for more stories to be told if needed.
