A little indie game called The Path, extremely creative story which delves into the fairy tale of little red riding hood in an extraordinary dark way and it has little or no gameplay what-so-ever.
Most gamers probably wouldn't even call it a game but it's just fantastic and very creepy.

Yeah, I was going to say that as well, The Path was so great. Plus, it inspired Shamus to write an epic poem [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/stolen-pixels/6402-Stolen-Pixels-117-The-Path-Will-Take-Her-to-The-End], which is cool in itself.

For a visually stunning world I'm actually going to suggest an MMO and say Aion.

I'm also gonna say Flower. Come on people, that game screams "Look at me, I'm arty!" for crying out loud.
