Perfect Dark XBLA takes top priority.

I am holding out on getting Mass Effect 2 because...

...I would prefer to ensure that Shepard survives at the end of ME2...

...plus Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2 and Aliens vs. Predator are all around the corner as well.

I would nuy Mass Effect 2, but I accidentaly reserved Dark Void back areounf the time Red Faction: Guerilla came out, thinking it would come out in the fall. Don't get me wrong, I want the game, I just didn't think it would come out the 19th. I'm still busying enjoying Dragon Age (It is just so damn consuming).

Bad Company 2 is the top of my list. If I cannot get it, then MAG. Because why not?

I'd be wary of video game adaptions but sure, have a go.

Mine would have been Mass Effect 2 until they said they would have a slew of DLC i would have to pay extra for so im just gonna wait a week and get BIOSHOCK 2!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know they don't force you to download DLC, and Mass Effect will be a finished game? Cause if you know that you don't make sense
Oh, you're one of those. Yes. To the common purchaser a game on the shelves is a finished game. It went through gold and testing and is complete. However, the game they (Bioware) want you to play is in fact still in progress. The DLC keeps coming until a new release date and I want to play the game they want us to play.
I don't mind expansions, in fact they bring us some of the best gameplay like the Diablo 2 or TES expansions, but little bits of DLC adding up to 30minutes of play time is just annoying, especially at 1200ms points.
So next time you get a DLC just think: 'Would I have been happier waiting another month for release and just getting this with the package?' 'Is this worth the extra £10 I shell out month after month?' 'Is this taking advantage of my love of the game?'
I certainly know the second DLC was not worth my money. Oblivion's non-Shivering Isles DLC was not worth the money, and Dragon Age: Origin's. Well, that was a downright insult.

It might be a finished game to you, but not in the eyes of the developers.
One of those? You imply you are one of the few people who have gained enlightenment and laugh at all us "common" gamers who squander in the mud buying DLC. I know thats OTT but what you said is a bit condescending.

Also, I bought Mass Effect 1, I played through to the end, I end it with a good feeling of completion, and I did not buy any DLC. I agree with you in some aspects, such as with the newest Prince of Persia and its Epilogue DLC which is frankly just saying "pay money to finish the game!", but Mass Effect 1's DLC never promised to "finish the mystery" or "answer unsolved questions", it just promised to prolong the gameplay and enable fans of the game universe to spend more time with the characters they know and love so well.

I also agree with you with the recent increase of day 1 DLC which is really just insulting the fans who buy the game, to know they arent buying the completed game, but lets take a look at what DLC Dragon Age: Origins had to offer: An extra companion, and an extra quest that let you get special armour. If you don't own either of those DLC, the ending of the game wont be different, it wouldn't impact the story at all. With the technology of nowadays, it allows game storys to not end with release days and to continue to let gamers visit the worlds these games offer. Some (most) games DLC will continue to be useless additions, but really if you don't buy a game simply because it has DLC upcoming which you don't like, the only person who suffers is you.
No, no. You have me wrong. I don't want to not buy Mass Effect 2 because I don't want the DLC. I don't want to buy it because I want the DLC. I wan't to play the product Bioware envisions.
I may end up giving in to hunger but my intentions are to wait until they release a GOTY edition like Fable 2 which will save me far more money in the long run.

And i'm sorry if I condescended you but there has been a massive rise of people posting that 'it's optional' which it may be, but for me a game is not complete until the original creators have finished making stuff for it.

Mass Effect 2, unless something goes on sale on steam before the 26th. Though technically I already bought it... twice... for PC and 360. The next game after that I'm planning on buying is Alpha Protocal, but, I've no idea what'll end up on my plate before that.

Mass Effect 2, followed up by Dragon Age Origins: Awakenings. I want to have Bioware's baby inside me.
Well I couldn't have put it better myself!
Mass Effect 2 followed by DA Awakenings and FFXIII! (and White Knight Chronicles, probably)

Either

Half Life 2: Episode 3
or
Counter Strike 2

Tbh nothing else at the moment looks worth my ever more hard earned cash.

Probably Mass Effect 2.
I've got plenty to keep me busy until then. Like Forza 3.

Ah right, well Mass Effect 2 GOTY might not get a release, itll only happen if it wins a game of the year award, Mass Effect 1 didnt get a GOTY release. You should try getting it on PC, im not sure but the DLC might be free on PC, it has been for other games which get a PC release. I completely know what you mean in that case, I knew Gears of War 2 was going to have a load of dlc, so I just waited for the big cheap bundle of the DLC to be released.

This one depends on Blizzard. See, I was a wonderful human being and preordered Starcraft 2. If it comes in before my paycheck, then that will be my next game. That, however, is unlikely. So as a result, i will probably buy Mass Effect 2 or Red Faction/red Faction 2 combo on steam. I love blowing shit up :D
