Erm, Mario Bros somewhat strongly implies that their last name is Mario. In fact no, it doesn't imply, it states that is their last name. I thought everyone knew that? Actually, I have seen the atrocity of the movie but I don't look to movies based on games for the lore. Especially, not that one. That movie breaks and parodies lore everywhere to the point that nothing in it should be held as lore.
