Baby murder is wrong any way you slice it (no pun intended). And why unbaptized babies, specifically?
Baptized babies go to heaven, unbaptized, even if they were going to be, don't. I think they go to, or at least used to go to, Limbo. Along with the people who had no chance to learn about God or the Bible.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: I knew I was wrong about something, it's Purgatory, not Limbo. Did the Christian church have a Limbo at any point though? I do remember SOMETHING about it...

... Killing unbaptized babies? Are they going to fight back, or is this game going to make me feel like those blokes from Criminal Minds?

Man, this news has 'em baby-shaking mad.
Don't make me hurt you.

On topic...HAHAHAHAHAAH oh man that article is funny. It's a game about Hell. I really couldn't care less if baby killing is in it. Maybe, just maybe, that's because I can tell the difference between a game and reality.

(Facepalm) Seriously? Geez, when are people going to learn that it's just a video game and not real life?

Uhh, I actually agree with the nannys on this one. Murdering children is crossing the line for a game

Hello. I represent the Babies on Spikes Movement (BSM). And I would like to express our overwhelming joy at EAs' decision to incorporate spiked apparatus in their baby killing design.
OT/ You know the gaming industry has to stop worrying about every little public outcry. Call it art or interpritation and move on. On the other side of the fence if you dont want, yourself or your children to see babies on spikes, don't buy the game.

Purgatory, but same thing, yeah.

Quite what they're doing in Hell I have no idea. Purgatory was seperate from Hell last time I checked. Didn't have nearly as good music. Of course, I don't think a single person at EA has read Dante's Inferno or knows a damn thing about how Hell is actually supposed to work.

Personally... I'm not a fan of killing babies cause I have kids of my own. But, if I don't like it, then I just won't buy the game.

Which brings me to the point... how many of these nanny's are actually likely to go out and say "Oh look, someone's decided to take one of the great literary works ever written and bastardize it into a video game, I think that's just the thing for me." More likely, this is just another publicity stunt.

Who cares what Nannies think, they are just a bunch of barren uterises anyways.

And I wasn't going to play this game until I heard about this, now I am going to have to.

Well, it's not exactly selfless work, is it? It's a service. That they do in exchange for money. I mean, garbage men do a service. Your janitor, your local cafeteria worker, they're in the service industry. The woman who turns down your bedroom at the hotel. I don't think they'd get away with calling their work "selfless."

The question is, which is a bigger insult to the INA? Killing babies for an achievement in a video game, or all those pornos where the husband (and sometimes his wife) has sex with the nanny? I mean, there's not even a depiction of a nanny in the game.

They should be more worried about them butchering the source material than this.

In defence of the achievement..if you're a nanny and a large number of babies have died under your watch then...yeah I'd call that a bad nanny.
Came here to say this. If you slaughter a bunch of babies, I would say that yeah, on the scale of "Good nanny" to "Bad nanny" you're probably leaning towards the bad side of the spectrum.

Predictably, INA reaction to the game, the Achievement and the ESRB's apparent unwillingness to "do something" about it was expressed on the group's Facebook page largely with all-caps and heavy use of the exclamation point.
Oh noes! Not a Facebook page! I guess EA are going to have to cancel their game now :(:(:(

most strands of mordern christianity (to my limited knowledge) have gone against the beilief of purgatory (im sure i heard a public announcement from the pope on this matter, well i heard that someone else heard so could just be a case of rummors but hey i could look it up), hence ea dont want complaints from them saying this game is the devil.

(note: not wanting to start a religous thread, just puting out a hypothes's(sp?) of why i believe ea has done this)

Yup, that makes sense, I'll take your word for it :)

...Does this mean that all unbaptized babies go to Hell now? I'm gonna need a priest...
