And shows that the 360 is behind the PS3 in terms of sales.
You forgot to mention that part.
You really should actually try reading your sources before posting them, you know.

Once again, nice try - but it's not possible to be behind in sales every week and somehow close the gap.
Unless basic Math is different where you live.
I don't know, does "basic math" where you come from mean ignoring official sources in favor of whatever numbers you find more personally pleasing?

EDIT: Just noticed that you didn't bother reading what I linked either, since you're apparently under the impression that they're Gamespot's numbers. They're not. They're numbers released by Microsoft and Sony directly- the only two parties who actually know exactly how many consoles they've sold.

Microsoft reported through North American only NPD - ie - unreliable as worldwide source. And the argument spins its tires as I already mentionned that.
Apparently you can't "read just fine", or you'd know that these numbers aren't coming from the NPD. And I'm not going to validate your refusal to base any of your assertions on sourced facts by "agreeing to disagree". You're just plain 'ol wrong.

I think the problem with this article is that it uses the word "irrelevant". It's a word that's become synonymous with scathing, holier than though, arrogant comments from "upstarts" that are new and "hip". If he had said that they aren't "noteworthy" then I bet there'd be a lot less of a buzz from this.

Wonderful 101,Okami,and a few others. When is the last time the rest of the AAA devs made anything besides shooters or sequels/rehashes?

Wonderful 101, Dillons Rolling Western, Harmoknigths, Pushmo/Crashmo, Pikmin, The Wii Series. The First 4 were all released in the 2010's, and Pikmin and The Wii Series were debuted in the 2000's.
The first four are made by third parties and are rather obscure games TBH. Pikmin's really old as you just pointed out and some would consider the Wii line of games to be shovelware. Okami was multi-platform and even sold mainly on the PS2 if I remember correctly.

I'm not saying that other developers like to stick to sequels. I'm saying that Nintendo hasn't churned out anything original for a longer time than the Xbox or the PS.

*cough cough unit volume numbers of last generation cough.*

I won't disagree that the WiiU is not reaching the audience it could be, but to disregard 100 million Wii units and 35 million 3DSes and say that it was irrelevant is foolish. The 360 and PS3 moved 80 million units each. Even in the home console market, they're both taking silver in terms of sheer volume; above and beyond that, just consider how many people those systems reached that Microsoft and Sony couldn't and didn't.

They've made plenty of missteps, but don't be so blind as to disregard what they -have- done.
