Neighbors Clean up Racist Graffiti while family is on vacation. Would you?

A Washington family was on vacation when police say their home and vehicle were vandalized with hate-spewing graffiti. But fortunately for them, they never saw the crude destruction left behind.

Instead, in a remarkable showing of good will, dozens of neighbors and local community members flocked to the residence Saturday, spending hours repainting and removing messages

Technically, it is trespassing and messing with someone else's property to attempt to repair that mess, but I know I would do the same to try and help my neighbors if someone did something so terrible so that they would not have to clean it up themselves. I have already trespassed in the past to help neighbors that were out of town to keep their dog safe, so there is no question in my mind I would do so to repair vandalism. Some may be worried about further offending them by invading their privacy like that and further messing their their property, from the pictures, it looks like they were even inside their neighbors truck. Would you risk trespassing to help your neighbors if the same happened to them? What would you do?

I'd do the same, I don't know any of my neighbors well enough yet to just start paining their house or messing with their car.

I honestly never thought someone would actually think I did it. But in my case, it would be seriously doubtful that they would even remotely suspect me to do something like that, so I am not worried. It was their neighbor that turned it into a collective event.
