i < 3u
That's awesome. Seriously.

Did you know that the Sun is about 93 million miles from Earth? It takes about 8 minutes for light to get from there to here, so if the sun ever exploded then the time lag from the explosion to our actually seeing it is 8 minutes.

Not any of these, maybe an answer, but:

I can not stand when people quote Monty Python. I turn red and stop talking to them, because it's so over-used and embarrassing. And everyone I know who does it is a nerd. All the other kids have no idea what they are talking about, but I do and it feels terrible.

I'll start.

What was the average Kill/Death Ratio of the 300 Spartans?

Obviously the deaths will be 1 but what about the kills?

Now present nerdy facts, questions and answers to other's nerdy questions (if you got them).
Actually all but 1 Spartan of the original 300 died.
But there was actually 302 Spartans Leonidas's 300 'bodyguards' the Captain guy and Leonidas.
Be that as it may, all died aside from the captain. So 301 spartans died in the movie.

I know, but still that's not as embarrassing as the Monty Python quotes... And even then it's the lame ones. I cringe just naming them, but it's always the conversations. It wouldn't even be as bad if they didn't try to pull off the english accent, but i would still stop talking to them.

The fact of the matter is, the AVERAGE death count still rounds out to 1.

That...is...amazing.

OT: If the difference between the electronegativities (tendency of an atom to attract electrons) of the two elements in a binomial compound is greater than 1.7, the compound is ionic (not 100% foolproof though). Grade 11 Chemistry FTW.

Fact: There is no proper name for the back of the knees.

Question: How many brides - worldwide - have walked down the aisle?
Answer: None. If you look at church [http://www.stmaryssaffronwalden.org/Church%20plan.jpg] plans [http://www.stmaryssaffronwalden.org/Church%20plan.jpg] the aisles are in fact on either side of the church, the bride actually walking down the Nave.

Also, Helium (which has one of the lowest freezing temperatures), has almost no viscosity as a liquid. This causes the liquid helium to climb up vertical surfaces like some weird jelly monster.
Have to get it below the lambda point (superfluid transition) for that (2.17K for Helium-4, 1mK for Helium-3). Normal-state liquid won't do this.

Related fact - the highest temperature elemental superconductor is niobium, with a critical temperature of 9.2K. Currently, the highest temperature superconductor (some funky ceramic material) has a critical temperature of 139K.

Well that's kind of a trap because if you know the answer is 42 that makes you a nerd....damn it i'm a nerd lol

OP: Han Solo says "it's the ship that made the kessle run in less than 12 parsects" Parsects are a measure of distance, however, this DOES make sence.
The Kessle Run is a series of black holes, because the closer you get to a black hole, the more the gravitational pull, so the faster your ship, the closer you can get to the black holes.
Therfore making it in 12 parsects means the ship is so fast, he can travel within twelve parsects of a black hole, and not get sucked in.

...you're welcome...
Jeeze. Now this makes sense.

I've always wondered about stuff like that, that's amazing![/nerdiness]
