"action figure" is...well its an action figure, "toy" BUT obviously ment for adults as most mine would be broken within two seconds if you gave it to a child
"figurine" I was refering to the more expensive little "statures" the few I own are from game collectors editions
again I could be wrong so anyone feel free to correct
personally I prefer to just call them figurines..more classyPanorama said:I had no clue i was just wondering, i had always used both words to mean exactly the same, so im very happy to take your explanation. what kind of action figures do you have?Ieyke said:This thread is forever lulz.
The number of MLP:FiM responses is fantastic.
I'll say FiM would probably be mine too. If someone finds out, I don't really care, but I don't go pointing it out either.
My friend walked into my room the other day and I had left my FiM folder open and on my wall (12' projected screen) and he was like "Dude, what the hell? Are you really THIS out of stuff to watch?" I just said "Nope. This is what happens when you spend too much time on The Escapist. Curiosity eventually gets you. Show's pretty awesome." and he shrugged and that was the end of that.
I'm not especially geeky in a single area, so I get away with seeming very normal, but I have kinda the whole spectrum of geeky interests. A Jack Of All Trades geek, if you will.
Most people who know me quickly figure this out.
I know how to play Magic The Gathering (tho I myself own no cards), I play D&D (and own nearly all the 3rd edition books), I paint Warhammer 40k minis, play 40k and own nearly all the 3rd-5th edition books (hell, I'm Internet Famous among the online Space Marine community), I have more Steam games and PS3 games than I have time to play, I have an action figure collection (albeit a very small one), I collect TV shows, I collect music, I collect books, and I regularly rewatch old Saturday morning cartoons(I watched all of Justice League and Batman Beyond a month or two ago, just finished Spectacular Spider-Man, currently on Young Justice, about to rewatch Spider-Man TAS).
I have no urge to hide any of this.
And to anyone who thinks I SHOULD have the urge to hide any of that - when I close my eyes to go to sleep at night, the last thing I see is the hottest girl I know laying next to me. ...So contrary opinions are meaningless to me.
Life is chaotic, but life is good. Very good.

It's all well and good to encourage a person to "come out" but it's not my way of doing things. Homosexuality is 100% cool with me, as long as the guy isn't all "I'M A BIG GAY, SEE HOW GAY I AM?!" Same with ponies. Love the show, won't wear the shirts.white_salad said:Come out the the stable, the oats are fine! Seriously though, be proud of your bronyness, we're awesome.

I barely understand the pony thing. I watched a couple of episodes to see what the fuss was about, but was underwhelmed.Mafoobula said:Ponies. 'Nuf said. And I think that's all, everything else is more or less fair game. Granted, I'm fully prepared to explain the ponies, should someone happen to, I don't know, catch me watching it, but it's still tough to get people to except right away, you know?
