Man, I really hope they do this game right. The premise alone makes you think that it should be an easy sell.

Anyway, I can't actually watch this trailer, as Escapist videos rarely ever work on this computer (as well as my previous computer), but I can only hope it is good. AvP 2 was a cool game, though monumentally frustrating many times.
Also, I must wonder if the controls for the Aliens will have changed from AvP 2. They were very unwieldy back then, so I do hope they've changed the mechanics a little bit.
I don't get it. You could be marine, alien or predator in the other AvP games, so how is this a selling point?
And just for the record, AvP2 was one of my favourite single-player and multiplayer games, especially as a marine fighting a predator. Those that missed out really, really missed out.

They showed Predator footage a long time ago during E3 2009. Basically the Predator is quite revamped. There's a bigger emphasis on the hunting style of the Predator. Unlike Marines, you don't have quite the staying power or the 'spray-and-pray' thing going on. Instead, they use cloak, vision modes (they always did this, but now, even more so), and can now jump from tree top to tree top using a neat mechanic (you need to see the footage to see what I mean).ssgt splatter said:

Not sure what you're talking about. It's still the same thing - a campaign for each species, and multiplayer play. I'm sure they will give out multiplayer details eventually.Grayl said:

The AvP games always feel so much more than just a generic shooter and I'm a massive fan of the franchise, but that trailer really didn't sell the game to me; it just seemed a bit... generic? I can almost guarantee that the game won't be half as good as it's predecessors (for reasons that I won't state here), and that trailer just confirmed my guarantee.
