I'm gonna go with cautiously optimistic. Christ this better be good. My childhood can't take much more of a beating.

OT: Seriously, trying to sell me IE? Not gonna fucking happen.

I didn't like the spiderman movies at all, so a reboot doesn't rub me wrong. I probably wont watch the new movies either, but whatever. Yay radioactivity and super powers.

Wait a minute, no Emo Maguire?! But, but, every movie needs a crybaby, it's all we really want to see... no wait, no it's not.

Does baffle me tho, will they just be remaking all Spiderman movies every 5 years for shits and grins? Or is this an apology for the last ones.

WAY TOO EARLY for another take on Spider-man. Goes to show theres little creativity n' risk talking these days. So such n' such was successfull, lets just do the same, to make money.
I believe that's called the premise of business. I would say look how much money creative movies have made in the past five or so years and you'll understand exactly why creativity isn't a sought after commodity.

OT: I thought the whole idea was that it wasn't going to be a reboot but a continuation.

It looks like what I wanted the other Spider-Man films to be, Tobey Macguire never quite gelled for me. He's a good actor, but they directed and wrote him to be a complete fucking pussy.

Andrew Garfield seems far more suited to the role, and he's a great actor. And Martin Sheen's in it!

This has most excellently explained my feelings for this movie. Except I don't like Toby Macguire :p.

The First-Person shot is awful. While Andrew Garfield is a really good actor i'll have to see more before i can really be certain whether he's good for the role, he doesn't seem to be able to do the socially awkward nerd thing as well as Tobey Macuire did. Maybe he's just too good looking.

The simple fact that this is being made solely to keep the rights to the IP gives me very, VERY low expectations for this film and i'm willing to bet money that marvel is using this to start a continuity between their films to keep up with DC.

Does Bruce Campbell have a cameo in it? Otherwise I'm not interested.

The trailer was weak. Looks exactly like the first Spiderman movie, but with an actor I'm not used to. I thought this was going to be a reboot, not a remake.

I saw an uninformative collection of images followed by somebody playing mirror's edge. So at the moment I'm going to officially go with "Meh". Thing is though I can't ever recall Peter Parker being voted "most likely to become a uni-bomber" by his school mates.

What's more I've never even heard of this guy. I look up his wikipedia page and it's like "his early roles include the imaginarium of doctor parnassus" But that came out a year and a half ago. Clearly this man has had a long and storied career which has won him the praise and acclaim of so many but I've yet to catch his work.

I dunno, something about it doesn't seem right, It reeks of bullshit.
Maybe its just the way the trailer is set up. I like the first person view though, pretty cool.

I dont know about this, Ill see it for sure, but the Tobey Maguire spiderman will always be my favourite.

This new guy doesnt seem nerdy and normal enough, Idk.
Ill watch it, havent got much hopes for it.

The not so Amazing Spider-man trailer
Looks kind of boring, don't particularly like the way Peter looks, he doesn't look like a nerd though they did try by shoving glasses on his face. But looks are not everything so I guess it could be good. Probably watch it once its rental unless it gets good reviews.

Well Peter seems more likable then ever so +1 for that.On the other hand why couldn't they pick a more intresting villain...(ONE NOT F* 20 OF THEM).Overall I reallly hope this turns out to be far better then the old Spider-man movies.I mean how can you fuck up a superhero movie I mean it's so... nevermind.

Since when did Peter's parents, like, matter? At all? I always thought that the point was that they were gone and out of the way well before anything important happened.

At least Andrew Garfield's voice won't give me a headache..

Still doesn't look bad, not something I'd see on opening weekend though.
