I can't really get excited over this game. The original was just too boring. I do kinda like the visual design though.

Everything that I loved about the first Borderlands... doubled? Say it ain't so! Plus, they're fixing all of the bad stuff about the first game, like the admittedly terrible A.I and lack of environmental and enemy variety. This is going to be a very difficult summer.

Nah, I played it solo.

I've heard many times that it's more fun with a friend or three and I don't doubt it. However, I don't really consider that to be a point in its favour. Scary Movie is more fun with a few friends and some beer, but that doesn't make it a good movie.

I've heard many times that it's more fun with a friend or three and I don't doubt it. However, I don't really consider that to be a point in its favour. Scary Movie is more fun with a few friends and some beer, but that doesn't make it a good movie.

I wouldn't say that it being most fun with friends is a point against it either; that's not what makes Scary Movie a bad movie. Most games are more fun with a group. Even GTA: the most fun I've had with those games is passing the gamepad amongst a group.
The thing is that it's a social game. The kind of variety of loot is great with at least one other person (my complaint was that it didn't have 4p splitscreen) because the loot that might not be great for you can be great for someone else. I can see how that can be boring for some (constantly comparing) but it turns out to be a pretty compelling system if you're the treasure hunter type of gamer.

I'm still very excited for this game, though - I even have my pre-order receipt for it. Since the first game was pretty good, except for the amazingly brown art design and clearly rushed PC port, both of which are getting fixed and with even more guns...I won't say "GOTY" yet because it's not even out, but I reckon it'll be up there.

Anyway, this looks like a step up from the original game, more diverse landscapes and enemies, more vehicles, and some extra guns.

She wouldn't be the first person to need a prosthetic arm after handling high yield explosives.

I'm in the midst of playing it throught solo right now and i agree it is a greeat game but it just loses its drive some way through the game, like all that i'm playing it for now is the better loot not the storyline or the jokes or anything really, althought i do here that the DLC was pretty engaging.
