What's so bad about this David Cameron guy and what the hell is "Number 10"??
Number 10 refers to 10 Downing St, the Prime Minister's residence. It's a fairly unassuming place on the outside. The first page of a google image search for "10 Downing St" provides a few different views. The chancellor of the Exchequer lives at number 11.

As for what's bad about David Cameron... well, he's a conservative which puts him in the same club as the folk who closed down all the mines and heavy industries in Scotland and northern England and didn't seek to replace them with anything, leading to breathtaking levels of unemployment among the lower-paid. His party tend to favour skimping on public services while helping out wealthy citizens and private companies, although the latter tended to have a wee bit too much power over the Labour government too. On a personal level, Cameron's image is so carefully airbrushed and media-managed that I wouldn't be that surprised to find out he's not a real person and is actually an elaborate set of cardboard cut-outs.

National interest? No. No David Cameron. The English interest. The Scottish never fucking wanted the Tories. If you look at our results, they only gained one seat in a constituency that borders with England.

I can't wait to see how the Tories fuck up Scotland this time round.
Interesting you mention that if you look at the seat score in England the Tories got 4/5th of the seats. Labour got most of its seats from Scotland and wales.

not really, two supercarriers have been on the way for a while now
*snip*
The eurofigher project is nearly complete and by all reports is one of if not the best pure out and out fighters in the world, while the navy will be getting F35 lightnings for the new carriers
*snip*
Yes, really. He said he hoped that there would now be an increase in spending alowing the navy to etc etc. All those were already in the pipeline, that's why labour was criticised for overspending and I said I doubt there would be any more than what has already been ordered. There won't be any increase in spending over what we alrady have. The Tories will be spending no more than Labour would have, matey was hoping that they would. Understand?

Maybe the Royal Navy will get the resources it needs to take up some of responsibility in the Atlantic now.
We love you brits but we could use some more help there so we can get more ships in the Pacific Fleet.
Two super carriers are already being built :D

no seriously http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Elizabeth_class_aircraft_carrier
Yep, know all about it. I have a few friends in the RN and wish you guys the best. It's good that the UK CVNs are going to be built for joint operations with US CVNs.

I honestly have no problem letting the UK watch the US back while we deal with China. You have top notch mariners.
There isn't much to do in the Atlantic anyway, the UK pulls a lot of anti drug patrols in the waters off south and central america though, the supercarriers are probably a bit overkill for that...but overkill is never a bad thing lol, maybe one will be sent off to deal with the pirates in the indian ocean lol

Brown monday? did you coin that yourself I like it :p
I wish I could claim that one, it did make me chuckle!

Did you see the graph plotting the value of the pound over the past two days? There was a dip the size of the grand canyon at the same point Brown stuck his oar into the coalition talks. Then, tonight after things became clear that Brown was off, the graphs peaked higher than Ben Nevis.

That guy's a fucking curse, I reckon he must have walked past a homeless gypsy shaman without handing over a few coins many years ago, he's a walking hex!

um,
yes,
that's exactly what I said.

They won purely on the English vote. Scotland and wales? Nah, we don't want a bunch of bigoted rich kids running our country.

The Tories are planning to get rid of the Student Awards Agency for Scotland apparently, which means I can't go to university because I'm not from an Upper Class like David Cameron, that utter tosspot, and I'm therefore, unable to afford it.

THANK YOU ENGLAND.

No need to edit; you forget that 'the English' are, in their own right, a nation. So are the Scottish, etc...

What is funny is I actually sorta liked him when I saw him step down as PM when he was with his kids - when he smiled it seemed real and I was like he is just a regular guy. It was WRONG!!! It wasn't natural! This man is the inter-galactic dark-side encyclopaedia economist salesman!

I read this as follows:
Cameron has a mild marxist bullcrap thing going, and since it's quite obvious marxism is absurd, all of Britain is going to hell?
Or am I just too tired to think straight?

If the Lib Dems somehow wrangled it so Vince Cable is Chancellor, I'll be dancing in the street.
Gotta quote you mate and say that IS an interesting idea. Fingers crossed because Vince Cable is one politician I can actually trust and get behind.

Most of the cabinet is a joke - it is all run by the civil service and they won't let someone just walk in and make an utter fuck up of it so it doesn't matter one iota how "inexperienced" someone is. But the Chancellor (and maybe Home and Foreign secretary) really matter and it would not only be an incredible coup to have Cable at the table, it would be a fucking good idea.
Vince Cable was one of the only politicians to warn of the global financial crash before it happened, I can't believe the Tories for criticizing the deregulation of the banks after the crash had happened when most of them were praising Brown for it during the good times. My only worry with Vince being chancellor is that he'd be railroaded into decisions by Tory policy and wouldn't have as much influence as he should.

Yes, that is true, however, David Cameron has been elected to represent the nation of the United Kingdom as a whole. He isn't working within the "national interest" because most of Scotland and Wales, which are part of the nation he is supposed to be representing, disagree with the Tories.
