I've loved Oblivion, it is my favorite game, making me wanting more after I beat it 7 times. Recently I heard that Bethesda is making an new Elder Scrolls game, I heard it will take place in Skyrim, anyone know anything about it?

P.S. Is Bethesda making a PSP version of Oblivion?

That's the first 've herd of it, so I'll be going away to read up on it now, as for a PSP release of Oblivion, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I haven't played Oblviion yet or morrowwind nor bothered to get 2 working. Should I go out and get the bioshock oblivion bundle?

I haven't played either.

That would be one reason I'd want a PSP if true.

They cancelled the PSP version of Oblivion a long time ago, back in late 2006 I think, maybe 2007.

And I hope their making a new Elderscrolls.

Hopefully they can have more than 7 voice actors, and include a diagnal running animation.

It's supposed to add 2 new races, of which I heard are some form of monkey humanoid and a dragon humanoid, maybe a drake.

All of this is second hand information of course, all that I know is that they are adding some races.

I've definately heard this being said somewhere before, at least the part about a new ES game set in Skyrim. I also read (actually I think I heard on a video) that they had already done a copyright on the place name 'Skyrim', which began the rumours for the setting. I'm feeling a mixed bag here, since Skyrim is a pretty cool place and the Nords are human enough to seem traditional for a fantasy setting, but two things bug me.
1) ES games tend to stick with one (or a couple) of terrain types per map. So Skyrim will be snow... just, lots of snow.
2) The Oblivion game was set in Cyrodill where the Imperials live, who are the main empire of the known globe and also followed the tale of the emperor of Tamriel- how can you get more end of all epic than that? I hope they can manage...

Also; I need to get a god damn PC for this!

I heard it would take place in Valenwood, but it would get kinda broing if the entire map was just forest with the occasional paved road.

Bethesda really sweats it on so many details and admire their OC-ness when it comes to realism; go to Sweden in winter and yeah, you're probably not gonna find a lot of sun-drenched beaches.

All the same, maybe they could include two major areas to provide some variety. (they sort of did that with Shivering Isles)

Think i red on kotaku they're working on a new ES game, but it's years off yet, no details confirmed at all.

Also, Skyrim could sort of makes sense as (SPOILER Alert!) considering the end of Oblivion, is there even still going to be an empire?

I've heard that they were considering Skyrim or Summerset Isle (or however you spell the High Elf land).

This is from the "from a friend" info source, so make of it what you will.
