Very very large, you say? You shouldn't quite be so ambitious. I've seen plenty of ideas of similar scope crash in burn. Find something manageable.

There used to be a job board on this site, I never frequented it much. If it's still about, you might have better luck there.

Also worth identifying up front what you're looking for.

I need help with the story...
it's hard coming up with a story and names for places and such...
Thinking about making it 1st person...
this game i've come up with it;s very large, very large probably wouldn't even fit on current gen.
Dude. You don't aspire to build a game of that scope using a two-man team and go looking for people without even finalizing the freaking plot.

Do you even know what engine you're going to use?

Do you even know what game genre you want? (I doubt it, since you;re only "thinking about" making it 1st person.)

Heck, all you've told us is that the plot is hard to write and the names are hard to make up. These are all really bad signs.

Red flags are all over the place here. No one with plans for their life is going to commit to this without WAY more information and WAY less ambition attached.

How to be unprofessional: Exhibit 1.

Come back when you have some actual plans.

I don't want to be super negative, and I think you should definitely try to pursue your goals (after perhaps scaling them back a bit), but... As in any creative medium, ideas are cheap.

Dirt. Fucking. Cheap.

If all you have is an idea, you have nothing. I repeat, nothing. Don't put the cart before the horse, don't go looking for people to help you make this game before you have anything solid, because it will fizzle out and never amount to anything remotely near completion.

Start simple, start small. Determine genre and basic mechanics, outline the plot, create believable characters to inhabit your worlds. Fleshing out your ideas is work. Hard work. Some of it will be fun, most of it won't, but if you don't do it, again, you have nothing.

This isn't meant as any sort of attack, it's real advice that you really should pay attention to.

Look I know you think their dirt cheap but did you read the part where I mentioned "much much much simpler version" I'm not even mad you said this I'm just disappointed you didn't message me for the complex version if I were to of given it to you, you wouldn't of even posted this and neither would I've posted either. Just next time read it through a bit more thoroughly Ok.
