People making the argument that some people just want to have sex for the fun of it just kind of sound like they're scared that they won't just be able to lie to women to get them to have sex.
Not really, since the bra monitors only the heart rate of the woman wearing it. It doesn't tell whether the man is in love or not, so they can still lie to women in order to have sex if they want to.

This is clearly designed with women like myself in mind, who only want to have sex with someone they are in a deep relationship with
I don't think women really need their bras to tell them wether they are in love or not. And as others have already pointed out, the product wasn't designed for mass markets. It's a marketing gimmick.

OT: People talking about how easy it is just to pull a bra off without un-hooking it? The band in a properly fitting bra shouldn't be that easy to stretch.

Bit harsh. I raised that argument, and I'm a woman. Personally, I've never equated sex with love or even particularly strong emotions. It's just a fun thing for me, but that's just my perssonal take on it. You say you're only interested in sex with people you have a deep attachment to, and that's great, totally your choice. But why insult people who raise a differing point of view?

That aside, how do you take it off? Scare yourself? Give yourself an O?

So... How do you take it off when you want to go to sleep or shower?

So girls if you are like me and like to take off your bra after a day of work when you get home just to relax, forget it... also good luck in the shower.
The magic only-in-love unhooking mechanism is on the front. I would assume there's a normal fastening at the back, where most bras do up. ;)

OT: I think a few people are taking this a bit too seriously. It's a promotion for Ravijour lingerie, not an actual product. And it's just a higher tech version of those "mood rings" that were popular when I was a kid.

I'm more concerned about the mindset of those promoting this thing, and those potentially thinking it is a good idea.

The whole thing seems to be promoting the following:

a) That women should only have intimate relationships with their "true love"
b) That the decision to remove their bra should be forced upon them by a device
c) That emotional states can be deterministically quantified, and thus that those that do not conform are not "truly in love"

But, then again, mass marketers aren't known for their progressive thinking.
I think you may be reading slightly too much into this. It's a silly advert featuring a silly product idea.

I apologize if I offended you and maybe I phrased it poorly, but I wasn't attacking people who have sex just for fun. I don't particularly understand that point of view but I don't judge those people and everyone has a right to do what they like, especially with their own body, as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. All I was saying is that I don't consider it a particularly compelling argument here. You aren't going to wear formal attire if you want to play rugby and you aren't going to wear a bra that can only be taken off when you're in love, if you're open to the idea of having a one night stand. I wasn't saying that anyone who has sex for fun is just a perverted liar, I was saying that a lot of these comments kinda came off like, "Wait, I might have to develop an emotional attachment with someone in order to get laid?!"

This is just so...Japanese.

The only way it would be more Japanese would be if the bra only came off for big-eyed, thin-lipped men who are voiced by Steve Blum.

Its interesting but how does this stop those guys from just pulling it down her body? I mean there are more ways then one to take a bra off unless it stitches itself into her.
