Dare I say it? This is going to be a good movie. Yeah, I hate Justin Bieber MUCH MORE than the next guy (I'm still in school, so I get exposed a lot to the little fuckball) but the director is GOOD! GOOD I TELL YOU!

Uh...so? In all honesty you guys are over-reacting. If you don't like him, then don't watch it.

Honestly, you all sound like a bunch of Youtube comments.

One thing that music fans always underestimate is the taste of other music fans. Just because person A posts something and says "god this sucks" doesn't mean person B, C and D are going to read it and go "yeah you're right this does suck". Here's something which I think is completely brilliant, and I found out about it thanks to people on this very forum bitching and moaning about how crap it was:

I wouldn't have heard about it otherwise, my friends sure don't listen to this stuff, they're all far too busy name-checking only "socially approved" bands and maintaining their credibility-friendly "rock" image to actually enjoy the music they listen to... but the point is that advertising works, and free advertising works just as well as paid advertising, even if you're saying that the product is crap. Did you know that Kazahakstan received a massive increase in tourism dollars after the release of the film Borat?

Fair enough, im not an expert but im curious to know how posting hate on him will benefit him. Is it the idea that any fame is good fame in the music industry?
It's not the idea that any fame is good fame when you're trying to sell a product, it's the proven fact that any fame is good fame when you're trying to sell a product. This user hits the nail right on the head:

Honestly the only time I hear about Beiber is when the internet complains about him.
Negative publicity can be enormously powerful, and media-savvy artists who know how to harness it these days can ride free publicity on "teh internetz" all the way to the bank. Here's Millionaires again, saying upfront what a lot of people in the industry damn well know behind the scenes:

Without the buzz generated by haters, they wouldn't even exist - and they know it. Hence they troll like crazy in every song they have:

Let's face it, if those girls signed up to this forum the mods would ban them based solely on their musical reputation for inciting flamebait and free advertising...
I swear, you keep putting these girls up for trolling purposes. Your points are valid, I understand why you love them (even though I don't), and they're a great example for your argument, but as you said yourself, THEY'RE FLAMEBAIT.

Although I suppose this entire thread was pure flamebait... so I guess you get off free this time.

Frankly, as much as I hate Justin Beiber's/Aaron Carter's/Jonas Brothers' (oh please, they're all interchangeable as today's "non-threatening pretty boy" pop music act), I have to respct the fact that he accomplished what few could ever dream of. Even if he got lucky, hey, he got lucky.

But really? "Inspiring true story"? I highly doubt that anybody in Beiber's life went "No! You can never attain your dreams! Stop dreaming you silly boy!", just another Disney thing that Disney does...

I'm curious as to who exactly said it would "never happen".
I'm not. I imagine he might have met someone with taste, who saw his great talent, and said to him, "Justin, you bastard. Don't make that noise. NEVER AGAIN, D'YA HEAR?"

IT : I'm not actually angry. I'm just sick and tired of this buffoon with his ludicrous backwards hats, bland and uninteresting auto-music and his preposterous ability to live despite being so far up himself that he, by rights, ought to no longer exist.

I'm just going to stop paying him any attention. Maybe some crazed fan will shoot him.

Remember: no matter how young you are, no matter how quaint your upbringing is, even you can be successful. As long as you're good looking, are extremely talented at something people want to watch, and make the right chance encounters with already successful people.

EDIT: And the 'music industry' worker who says we're 'just feeding the trolls', you're boring, you're wrong on quite a few levels and just let us have our f*cking fun.

A. Your "f*cking fun" is now officially more annoying than the target of it (seriously, I'd rather be trapped in a meme regurgitator for an hour than here another BAAAAWWWWW JUSTIN BIEBER BAAAAWWWWWW comment).

B. I would trust the music industry worker to be right over you.

I feel like this world is coming to an end. How much is a sniper rifle? Just asking.
You can get one new with a scope for as little as $500!!!

Honestly people, just ignore it. I honestly would here 98% LESS about beiber if people did not complain about it/him/her here.

Well, let's look at this from a business point of view shall we? You have something that is very popular and draws in millions of dollars each year. You could make even more money by making a movie about that thing, and it would make that money regardless of how shitty that movie was. Seems logical to me. I dislike Bieber as much as the next guy, but he brings in the dough, and you know the people in Hollywood would do anything to exploit him.

Hey I'm not stopping anybody from posting. If people want to give the kid free advertising and promotion, go right ahead, be my guest. I'm just saying, let's call a spade a spade here.

Actually I put them up because they're a perfect example and they're rare in that they talk upfront about what a lot of other musicians in the same scenarios are quite happy to let quietly slip by unmentioned, so therefore they keep being relevant... hey at least I didn't post Brokencyde this time (although I confess I thought about it, Millionaires was a better example, plus their lyrics are easier to hear).
