If I may, how about we try just ignoring it instead of hating it together in groups. Becuase that does nothing but draw more attention to it. It's one of the reasons he is so popular, because lots of people hate it, so people will like it out of spite. Just never talk about it ever again, and it may actually go away.

If anyone in this thread is going to go watch that because of this forum post, do speak up, but the fact of the matter is we're nowhere near his demographic, he already has gazillions of dollars in tours, album sales, and everything else. Posting in this thread will have less than a thousandth of a percent of an effect on his popularity--if it has ANY EFFECT--and hey, I'm not really concerned about Justin Bieber's popularity. What I'm thinking about is enjoying a bit of ribbing in an online forum about a documentary about a silly pop star with a silly movie with a silly trailer.

I honestly don't get all the rage or hate. So he makes a movie, does it really affect you guys to make the comments you are making, or is that just to be funny? The fans will see it, the non fans won't. I don't see a reason to let someone making music and following their dreams affect you so profoundly and negatively. Unless you are all joking or something.

I don't see the problem. This of this from the perceptive of the producers and Disney. "Look, this thing is making us money. Should we drain it dry because we know the window is closing or do we just let it sit there?". Better yet, imagine you bought a duck that laid golden eggs for $20 million(lets imagine you had $20 million burning a hole in your pocket while we are at it). Now, a quick Google search shows that ducks live about 8-12 years, sometimes as low as 3. This hypothetical duck (henceforth known as Hypoduck[sup]TM[/sup]) laid eggs once or twice every year and they eggs are sold for $1-3 million. Now, wouldn't you do everything you could to make sure you got the best quality eggs the most often (even just to make sure you break even)? That is what Disney is doing here. They know they have this Hypoduck and they are using it to crank out as much money as possible.

if I was a kid his age and I somehow managed to become a pop hit, I'd be pretty psyched. I danno what he did to make it happen or if it was all a long stream of luck but I do think the "OMG BEIBER LOL" gag has gone on long enough. Their have been child celebrities before, this kid has done nothing to justify any hate from me. I'm more annoyed by the hordes of haters, then one under-whelming musician.
