Is some sort of full length film or just an hour collection of various Bieber videos with some smooth American voice over?

Honestly, if you want to find a way to buy your fifth yacht guys, at least do it in a way that doesn't make us all suffer as a result.

If you're not watching it, you're not suffering. Just don't watch it. No need to post a thread about it complete with a video and give the guy even more free promotion. I doubt many people reading this were likely to go and see his film anyway, and the few that were probably don't care what you think about him.

Im just pointing out that this movie is a total sellout and anybody with a brain knows that. If theres one thing ive learned from teh internetz its that people A. Hate all those bands out there that are targeted to 6 year old girls and B. Love to make fun of all those bands out there that are targeted to 6 year old girls. Its a win/win.

It certainly is. And do you know who wins the most? Justin Bieber.

Every time you post his name here, that's another match that will come up in a Google search, so when the record company proudly brags that he's "the kid with over 100 million hits on Google!" give yourself a pat on the back, because you contributed to that. Every time you talk about him or link a video of his, you're spreading his fame further. Sure, 99% of the people who are reading this know who he is, and now the 1% of people who didn't know, now do know. Thanks to YOU. And if you don't believe me, remember that I work in the music industry and I first found out about Justin Bieber through an Escapist hate-thread.

But how good is his machine if it runs on hatred?

No matter how much he is liked he is hated at least three times more.

As for first finding out about him on this site? Damn, that just sucks.

Wait, is this a concert movie or a documentary (about a fucking 16 year old!).
Because if it's a concert then it can go piss right off as the cheap cash grab that it is.
As a documentary, though, it's actually an interesting case, he's the first real mainstream star who got success through Youtube.
I'm not a fan of the 10 year old girl, but it's still kind of interesting.

Guys, some of what I have read seems a little sour grapes. No one is going to force you to go and watch this film. Everyone in life makes their own choices, he made his choice (and made a fucking million from doing so) and now does as every other famous/wannabe famous person does - profits and promotes.

I am not saying I like Justin Bieber, in fact I hate his fricking music but hell I am not going to sit here and say words associated with anger, rage, kill etc etc etc yawn yawn yawn.

I find it quite demoralising that people seem to get enjoyment from sitting here writing posts that effectively say omg no, wtf etc etc. There really isn't a need for it, and most importantly it isn't going to change the fact that this movie/his music is going to get made.

Hats off to him, he found a gap in the market and he has profited from it - that kid is set for life and trust me in about 20 years he will be no different to the rest of us, just slighty richer as he has made his choices the way he wanted to.

To be fair, I have a little sister and she has friends who annoy me with him, that's sort of how it becomes my problem. I agree that if it didn't make its way to me everytime I'd care about as little as (insert clever simile here when not tired), but that's not the case unfortunately. So I'll continue giving him shit, even though under different circumstances I'd probably congratulate the bastard on becoming a success. (Whether or not I think he deserves it is somewhat irrelevant)

I'd say one of the big reasons for the hate is that so much cash is going into something with zero artistic merit, when there's 1000s of better scripts landing on desks in Hollywood every year.

I guess in a way we should hope this is an almighty success so they can risk investing some money in a quality movie with a plot, as we all know they don't rake in the cash like by the number trash led by a pretty star.

I just can't see any way there can be any value in this being made however, except as a way to leech a few more dollars from preteen girls. Does any Justin Beiber fan NOT know his entire history and backstory already? I also assume they know what he looks and sounds like, and I can't see the movie offering anything else.

Or they'll just say "Fuck it, lets make the safe bet." and make a movie about his fall from fame into obscurity after his voice breaks.

The only problem i see in this film is the whole cash-grab element to it. He´s just a kid but he already feels the need to tell his life story? He should wait until he is an adult. His carrer would have more twists and turns and he might be able to tell a proper story. Of course, Hollywood cant wait to see the money so it has to be made NOW! Besides, in a few years, he might not be successful, so let´s just grab the cash NOW!

I have nothing against the kid (even though i think he does shitty music), but i dislike the notion of a Bieber movie.
