It may be because I love the fifth generation Pokemon and Unova a whole lot, but I recently went through the Unova seasons of the show and I thought they were pretty good. Granted, it's formulaic, and Ash's strategies/mistakes will make you want to reach in and smack him around, but it was good enough. Of course Oshawott may be the reason why the show was good in the first place. For once I can see why Ash would not want to evolve his Pokemon.TizzytheTormentor said:Also, the newest season is apparently supposed to be relatively decent (I also think anime Oshawott is adorable)
You bring up an interesting point.Baldr said:Team Rocket will probably be in it, but they won't be the sad pathetic Team Rocket from the previous anime. Misty, like Brock are gym leaders. Not followers.SupahGamuh said:Charmander as the new Pikachu?... and it actually evolves into Charizard?*... no Misty in sight bitching around?... no Team Rocket trio?... and no Ash!?...
Color me interested
[small]*Let's hope they don't repeat that BS about Charizard not giving a shit :/[/small]
Yh i never understood that, i always kept thinking "just walk around Veridian forest!"Scarim Coral said:IHopefully we see Team Rocket more as a serious threat well not aftering the character starter Pokemon 24/7.

Fucking look it it
Charmander will learn Metal Claw when he/she reaches level 13 in FR/LG, which evens out the odds considerably (at that point Charmander will also outspeed Brock´s team). And you have always been able use Butterfree as well.RaikuFA said:Exactly, that's why they added the chance to catch a mankey in FR/LG, for the Charmander fans.Raggedstar said:What? Fire is weak against rock, not neutral. Brock has Geodudes and an Onix (both I believe are rock/ground) and a rock throw can easily put down Charmander. So against Brock, Charmander is at a disadvantage (especially since Charmander's other attacks at the time would be normal type, which is also resisted by rock). Giovanni (the last one) is the ground type gym leader, and when rock hits ground it's neutral but not the other way around.
Bulbasaur all the way though.
Or maybe this time we'll get the manga-based Misty who had a fabulous rack? Either way; this looks a supreme upgrade in the Pokemon anime narrative.SupahGamuh said:Charmander as the new Pikachu?... and it actually evolves into Charizard?*... no Misty in sight bitching around?
I know, but I don't use Charmander. I use Bulbasaur. Plus, who dosen't want a Mankey that early in the game.Hjalmar Fryklund said:Charmander will learn Metal Claw when he/she reaches level 13 in FR/LG, which evens out the odds considerably (at that point Charmander will also outspeed Brock´s team). The truth is, Reshiram doesn't hold a candle to true Pokemon powerhouses. Zekrom is clearly the ideal Pokemon.Hero of Lime said:The best? The great Reshiram takes to the cake. <3Rossco64 said:Riddle me this. What Pokemon is number one? WHO is number one!?
