Alright, I'm an unabashed Tom Clancy fan, and Rainbow Six has always been one of my favorite books. Likewise, the first two games, especially Rogue Spear, were awesome.
Then came a slew of bad games, and not even the Vegas series could pull me back in. I missed the mission planning, the meticulous tactical options and tension that came with seeing it unfold, or actively taking part in it. I moved on to other series as a result (SWAT and Ghost Recon).
And now apparently there's talks of taking the game into Call of Duty territory.
